The house and property were lovely. The house was super clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. The property was a bonus. Loved the fire pit. And it was smooth and easy to work with Chris. We would recommend the spot to anyone.
This property was even better than the photos! The communication with the host was great. We were concerned about having a fire since this area requires a burning permit, but the host had it handled and it was in "The Book." Some of our guests bought some of the little souvenir items that were in the cabin. We would do this place again. Thank you, Chris!
This is a gem for those who like the tranquility of a cabin nestled amongst the woods in the beautiful Kawartha Highlands! The cabin was the cleanest place we’ve EVER stayed at, and so beautifully appointed. It’s perfect for those looking to hike or canoe/kayak in the area, as there are no shortage of Provincial Parks within 10-20 mins away. Apsley has a grocery store, a Guardian Pharmacy, LCBO, and Home Hardware for any necessities you may have forgotten. We were greeted by deer almost every day and they came right up to the cabin to munch on the deer feed that was provided. We had no issues but host Chris was only a message away. We’ll definitely stay again if we’re in the area! Highly recommend!!!
We loved our stay. I really appreciated how clean the cabin is and how beautiful the property is as a whole. We really enjoyed the decorations, and are big fans of the ducks in particular. It is a place that felt homey and our stay was very comfortable. We wish we could have more time there, but now will have to make a trip back up.
The closeness to provincial parks is excellent and we got to do a day trip with our canoe to Kawartha Highlands.
We wish to bring more friends up with us next time as there is plenty of space and options for activities.
Thank you very much!!

This was the most wonderful cabin with the most beautiful details, the couch was incredibly comfortable, the suggestions were well throughout and everything was clean and very well prepared. Thank you so much we will definitely be coming back!
Quiet, private cabin in the woods. Really beautiful cabin, very clean with great amenities. Beaches are about a 15 minute drive but they’re nice and have change rooms and washrooms.

Chris is a wonderful host. His cabin is just what we needed to relax and getaway from the busy city. It is very clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and visits from a doe, a fawn and an buck! We will definitely come back.
What a gorgeous place to stay. Everything we needed was provided from towels, to soap, to cookeware and an excellent amount of pillows. The views are gorgeous and the sound of birds chirping in the morning is music to my ears. Thank you Chris for everything! Highly Recommend, Jessica, Derek, Elijah, Christy, Luke and Kayla!
Chris was very detailed about everything. He is very helpful. Place was amazing. My family enjoyed watching deers to come on the cabin. It was a very relaxing vacation having the first day of snow.
This property was clean, modern and had everything that you would want. My friend and I met there for a visit for a couple of days. We have known each other for over 50 years but have not seen each other in over 5 years. This property was the perfect place to get together to talk, laugh and reminisce. It was quiet, private and so nice.
