Live the good life at the Custer Farmhouse! Our convenient location across from Lynns Dakota Mart, Dollar General, and Ace Hardware puts you right in the heart of all that Custer has to offer. Everything is within easy reach - just take a stroll down Main Street for some great dining, shopping, and coffee spots. Plus, we've got insider tips on where our favorite restaurants are, so planning your day out will be a breeze! Make sure you ask for the list!
CONCIERGE: Come on over and chill! We'll take care of preparing the house for you. Our services include stocking the fridge, setting up for a birthday party, providing charcuterie boards, putting up light decorations, and much more. Everything will be ready for you when you arrive. This service is upon request.
CAMERAS: Custer is a VERY safe community. We do have 3 cameras for video surveillance on the door to all of our properties. A camera on the south side of the house facing the doors, and one on both the front and back door.
PARKING: Our property has a lot of parking on Main Street in front and in the back of the house via the ally.

IS THIS RENTAL AVAILABLE YEAR-ROUND?
YES! Custer is high elevation. There are on average 228 sunny days per year here! The average summer temp is 80 degrees and winter can be in the 30’s-40’s. Many stores and restaurants stay open year-round! We have parades for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Burning Beetle in Custer. Custer has many fall/winter events. We are about 1 hour from skiing at Terry Peak.
WHAT RESTAURANTS ARE OPEN YEAR-ROUND?
The Custer Wolf, Custer Beacon, Skogen are a few of the restaurants that are open year-round.
IS THERE A PLACE TO RENT BIKES AND UTVS?
YES! Black Hills Power Bikes is a great way to see the Mickelson Trail. For UTV/ATV rental we recommend Hill City Adventures.
HOW MANY HIKING/BIKING TRAILS ARE THERE?
We have over 70 miles of hiking in and around the park. Other than the Mickelson Trail (500 feet from the house) we put our favorite hikes (including Black Elk Peak) in the guidebook.
ARE THERE STORES NEARBY TO BUY FOOD?
We have Lynn’s Grocery across the street and Dollar General nearby.
