About this property

Experience idyllic country living at White Rock Cottage, near the village of Millbrook. Relax on a tranquil, private 5 acres. Inside the house you'll find a spacious living room with dueling sofas, perfect for leisure and entertainment by the fireplace. The space is naturally sunlit and bright during the day, thanks to a glass wall and high ceilings. The house is furnished with a blend of antiques and new pieces, and there is a generous offering of books and games for you to enjoy. There are also many toys and books for young children, and a Baby Bjorn pack and play is available upon request.
The kitchen sparkles with white cabinetry, a deep farmhouse sink, a Viking range and oven, a Miele dishwasher, and a breakfast bar with butcher block countertops.
Bedrooms are generously sized and welcoming, each with character. In the den you can enjoy watching movies on a SmartTV and sit back on the Restoration Hardware cloud luxe sectional. The house has central air conditioning and heating.
There's a cozy patio just off the primary bedroom, and the porch overlooking the grounds is the perfect location for alfresco dining or savoring a cup of coffee.
During the warmer months you can take a dip in the 57'x19' pool and shoot hoops on the small basketball court. (The pool is open in mid-May and stays open through the end of September.)
The town of Millbrook is 10 minutes away, and nearby you will find farmers markets, minigolf, cute local businesses downtown, hiking, wineries, and distilleries. Kent School is only 20 minutes away, so the house is great for family members visiting students.

Charming cottage in country setting with beautiful view

We truly enjoyed the property and setting. It was exactly as described with a beautiful view to a large backyard property, Fall foliage and all. This home wraps its arms around you. The kitchen and living room were fabulous, filled with charm and utility. Any dishware or kitchen gadget we would have wanted was supplied. High quality appliances in the kitchen! - Viking stove, Miele dishwasher. Coffee and tea were provided. A large bookcase in the living room held many interesting books; games provided as well. Beds were comfortable; comforters with duvets and linens were plentiful and stylish. Beautiful wood floors throughout the house. Bathrooms and bedrooms were decorated in soothing colors with white woodwork. The TV, heating system, and washer/dryer all operated well and as expected. We would have liked to stay longer.

Beautiful home, relaxing getaway

Our group had a wonderful and memorable time spending the Fourth of July at this beautiful, peaceful home. This was one of the most tastefully designed homes any of us has stayed in - all the personal touches and care made us feel right at home. The hosts were attentive with instructions/tips for our stay and made sure our time at this property was special. There was plenty of space for our group of 7 adults to spread out comfortably - the rooms were cozy and the beds and sofas were all very comfortable. The kitchen was very well-stocked for all of our cooking needs and we frequented the nearby grocery stores (Marona's was our favorite). The house has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a field and several times during our stay we spotted a family of deer! We spent most of our day lounging by and swimming in the warm pool in the garden and playing lawn games (they had cornhole and kubb) in the open field, but the house also had plenty of books and games for us to enjoy in the few hours it rained. The house is also just up the road from a fun little minigolf course co-located with an ice cream shop and food truck where we had lunch and dessert several times during our trip. We hope to stay here again and would recommend this property for anyone looking for relaxing getaway from the city.
