Some things to note about our space: -Located just outside of one of the main arteries in Old Town. You may experience higher traffic volume during peak hours. You may also experience street noise while outside or near the front of the property.
-As with many historic Old Town homes dating back to the 1700s, you may notice slightly steeper stairs and floors with a gentle slope from centuries of settling. These quirks are part of the neighborhood’s historic charm and are common throughout local homes and shops. Rest assured, the home is well maintained, safe, and meets all standard safety requirements.

Dash Bus: DASH is a local bus service that is free to riders. It travels all over Alexandria, but will not take you into DC. You can hop on the Dash Bus just a few feet from the front door in both directions.
WMAT Bus: If you were to take a WMAT bus which travels around Northern VA and DC, you would have to either use your phone, acquire a smartrip card, or have exact change on the bus itself.
Metro: We are located less than ¾ of a mile from the King Street Metro Station and a little over a ½ mile to the Braddock Street Station. There is a bus stop near by for the free Alexandria city bus (Dash) that runs directly to the Metro stop. {Trains: Blue and Yellow Lines}. It would take you less than 3 mins by car and probably 10-15 mins to walk to Braddock Station if the weather was nice.
Amtrak: Amtrak provides interstate travel and also has a stop at King Street. If headed north, the next stop after King Street is Union Station in Washington DC. Please check their website for schedules and available stops.
King Street Trolley: You’re about 3 blocks to King street to pick up the Trolley. The King Street Trolley runs every 15 minutes between Alexandria City Hall/Market Square and the King St – Old Town Metrorail station from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week, including holidays.
**There are also ample Uber and Lyft rides in the area.

House has a nice layout, and cool temp despite very hot days. Parked 2 cars in back & walked everywhere. Stocked with coffee and cream, but also a nice coffee/breakfast shop right down the street. Great value & very comfortable for our group of 5 adults.
Very speedy communication with hosts. Location was key for our trip, and esp thankful for the parking pad at rear of property, so didn't have to worry about street parking spaces. Beds were super comfortable and place was very clean.
We very much enjoyed our stay. The hosts had taken care of every little thing to make our stay easy and comfy. The house was exceptionally clean, and the hosts were attentive and responsive.
This worked great as a location for a coworker and I to stay while in town for business. Plenty of privacy between bedroom/bathrooms. Cute house in great Old Town location!
Location is great; 10-minute walk to the Metro; Close to Old Town Alexandria; Many places to eat. The Hosts are excellent and communication was great. Had a wonderful time; highly recommend
The house was wonderful. Very clean and had everything we needed. We loved the location and didn’t need to move the car to visit all of the great attractions in Old Town.
We were looking for a convenient location and property that could accomodate my spouse and I and 2 adult children. This home worked well and was right in the heart of Old Town allowing us walking access to great restaurants and night life. It'e very eclectic in the decor that suited the home. The house is very nice and cozy! The kitchen had everything we needed and we had plenty of towels for the four of us which usually never happens. The wine was a nice bonus! We had a great time!

We were returning to Old Town after living there some years ago. This location is great, and communication with the owner was quick and clear. Would not hesitate to stay here again - it’s great to have parking!! It looked just like the photos. Loved our time there.
The historic house was amazingly charming in a perfect location to old town and within walking distance of the waterfront and wonderful eating establishments. Collin and Laurie were very responsive with every question we had. Highly recommend!

This historic home is part of a highly sought after neighborhood in OldTown Alexandria. The history of Alexandria, Virginia, begins with the first European settlement in 1695. Over the next century, the town became a significant port. In 1801, much of Alexandria was swept into the new District of Columbia; it was damaged along with much of the rest of the capital during the War of 1812. In 1846, Alexandria was returned to Virginia, along with the rest of the District's territory on the western side of the Potomac River. After Virginia seceded in 1861, Alexandria was swiftly captured by Union forces and held for the remainder of the American Civil War. In the late 20th century, Alexandria became a key part of the rapidly growing Northern Virginia region.
