A very nice space for a family get away for a family wedding. Everyone enjoyed themselves and enjoyed the character of the home. The kids had fun with all the games in the basement, and enjoyed the hot tub. Easy instructions for check in and host was easy to contact when needed. Would stay here again!!
Exactly what we were looking for. A relaxing family getaway. The house was beautiful and even more spacious than expected. Thoughtful decor and cozy/comfortable. The host was helpful and responsive.
We stayed for a few days over Thanksgiving to enjoy some quiet family time. The house offered everything we needed and more. The bedrooms were comfortable, the living room areas offered plenty of space for everyone, the hot tub was delightful, and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our holiday meal.
We had an amazing time, we were there for 3 nights with 4 Teenagers (Juniors in HS) and they did not complain not once about being bored or uncomfortable, which a task in itself. House was clean, well thoughtout and beautifully decorated. The kids want to come back again and stay. Wish we had more time to enjoy the lake, but the hot tub made up for it this time of year! Thank you for thinking about everything to make us feel just like we were at home.
We had a great time at ADK Hideaway! The house is charming and feels welcoming. I intentionally searched for a hot tub that is out under the open stars and I am so happy that I made that a priority-- there is nothing like being outside in the cool air, hot water, and nothing but the stars above you.
The second bathroom addition really made the place work well for the 6 adults staying. We had a blast playing D&D and other games in the basement in the evenings with the fire place, and enjoying the views from the large dining room table during the days. The walk to the lake was quick and the views gorgeous for the foliage.
This cabin checked all the boxes that I was looking for to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday and as a couples' getaway. The space was very clean, well-appointed and decorated really well. There was great attention to detail - we enjoyed speculating where various items were purchased! The kitchen was clean and well stocked with cookware, there were two grills to use, plenty of dining space (with views of the deer and turkeys), and very well lit. We especially enjoyed multiple dips in the hot tub. Don't forget your flip flops if you go in the winter! The wi-fi was strong; we had no trouble signing into our streaming accounts on either of the TV's. In spite of being pet friendly there was very little evidence of animals having been in the space. Quiet cabin, mostly secluded in the woods on a dead-end street. This definitely made coming home to "real life" difficult, in the best way!

250 plus bites from sleeping in this house no joke.
From the pictures the house looks great! However upon entry of the the house this is when the fun begins.me and my family rented this house because it was close to saratoga for a concert. This place is so dark even with the lights on. Do everyone a favor and install some 100 watt led bulbs in the place. Its borderline candle light and a cave. Edison lights look cool doesn't mean the need to be throught the entire house. All the doors are missing strike plates which in turn make all the door close like crap. There is an inadequate amount of pots and pans. The hot tub was gross there was this black scum lime in the thing when we opened it. Only one jet worked in each seat big disappointment!! The house says a/c it litterally has 4 window units in it that are loud and really old.good luck sitting on the porch the ac unit will drive u away immediately. The master bedroom doesn't even have one.the driveway is a u driveway no matter where u park ur vehicles they get covered in pine needles and sap! Lots of sap. And the pollen holy crap everwhere. On the grills chairs and porch.the blackstone grill was disgusting, looks like it has never been cleaned until we got there. The weber grill has never been cleaned judging the the debris at the bottom of the grill that was on fire while grilling. lack of grill cleanning supplies and utensils. All the beds are well used, with a memory foam topper. My my entire family got eaten alive by fleas. House needs to be fumigated! Skip this one! Run!.

This is a disappointing review, and I find it interesting that you posted immediately after I inquired about damages done to the property during your stay.
When I questioned the holes left in our new bathroom door, you advised me of a physical situation between your daughter and her boyfriend (her kicking in the door), yet you blamed the holes on “cheap quality material”… The bottom line is that this is a sad attempt at retaliation because I asked you to pay for the damages caused by your family. You should be ashamed of yourself.
FUTURE GUESTS: We take guest satisfaction very seriously, as our business entirely depends on your good experience. I’ve included a photo of Anthony’s hand-written note in the cabin photos where his family expressed the wonderful experience they had while staying with us. I will address each of Anthony’s concerns to provide comfort in booking our cabin. Between the two major booking sites, we have 80+ reviews, with an overall rating of 4.96, excluding Anthony’s review.
1. 250 bug bites: This is a blatant lie. When Anthony provided photos of his “bug bites,” the photos he shared were direct screenshots from a website search “bug bits on humans”. Since I’ve questioned his scheming attempt to provide actual photos, Anthony has ignored communications and neglected to respond. We understand that pets are a part of your family, too, and we’re happy to host them. When we allow pets to stay in the cabin, we charge an add’l $150.00 pet cleaning fee, which is used to deeper clean the cabin. Although I am certain there were no fleas in the cabin, one day after reading Anthony’s review, we paid to have the cabin fumigated to provide us and our future guests peace of mind. I assure you, there are no fleas in the cabin.
2. Cleanliness of the hot tub: The hot tub is cleaned each time a guest checks out. We request photos from the cleaners to ensure that there are no concerns for incoming guests. If the hot tub is not used for a few days, there may be a thin line of foam around the top of the water line, which is simply left over from the chemicals.
3. Air conditioners/mattresses: As detailed in the listing description, the cabin has four window unit air conditioners. One small unit in each upstairs bedroom, one unit in the dining area, and one larger unit in the main floor living area close to the master bedroom for comfort. The cabin was renovated in 2022, and all mattresses and air conditioners were purchased at that time. These are not old units as Anthony has claimed.
4. Adequate pots, pans, and kitchen utensils: We regularly host groups of up to 10 people. This concern has never been an issue; however, we will review inventory to ensure enough supplies are provided for your stay.
5. Grills: I’m not going to avoid/ignore this comment, as it could be that the cleaners did not adequately clean the grills to satisfaction. This issue has been addressed with the cleaners.
All other items appear to be a nitpick. Please keep in mind that you are renting a cabin in the Adirondacks, so yes there are trees nearby the driveway. Lastly, the lighting is done tastefully to the setting of the cabin. There is plenty of lighting throughout the cabin.
Again, I reiterate that we understand and appreciate your guest experience to be the basis of our business. The cabin is maintained to the level of satisfaction to where my own family visits often when not booked. We appreciate your interest in our listing and look forward to the opportunity to host your next getaway.
