Surf Song #229 - Very spacious 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom condo is the only one bedroom unit near the pool at Surf Song. This retreat has easy access to beach and is across the street from John's Pass Village. Perfect location for a perfect vacation! Free Wifi. Please note there is no phone in this condo.

You will be required to sign a rental agreement with SunHost Resorts prior to a reservation being confirmed.

Tiled throughout, the kitchen has modern cabinets, appliances and new countertops including a dining area that seats up to three. .As with all SunHost properties, it is fully stocked with utensils so your cooking needs are met. The nicely decorated living area contains comfortable leather furnishings and television. In the master bedroom, you will be discover newer furniture and two double beds, television and plenty of closet space. The bathroom is of course, meticulous and linens, extra towels and pillows are stocked for your visit. This delightful condo is ready to entertain your family and friends!

When staying in a SunHost unit you will also have access to 7 day a week office staff, office services (copy, print boarding passes etc.) We also have maintenance available 7 days a week if you experience any issues at the property and an after hours emergency on call person. This is a non smoking home.

One big attraction to this popular unit is its premier location to not only the world class beaches, heated swimming pool, and BBQ facilities, but also it is just across the street from John's Pass Village, a sought after destination for tourists and year round residents alike. The Pass is a quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village and has over one hundred unique shops, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing. Best of all as a SunHost customer you can walk to this great entertainment destination. Anchor tenants include Bubba Gumps, Hooters and Hubbards Marina and also world famous Bamboo Beer Garden.

Madeira Beach is a sought after community, just west of St. Petersburg. It's 2.5 mile beach is popular with sun lovers and offers some of the best fishing in the area. This beautiful Gulf getaway, has something for everyone, including dolphin watching, water sports along some of the most beautiful crystal clear waters in the world.

Nearest airports are Tampa International Airport at just over 20 miles and St. Petersburg Clearwater International at 10 miles away.

Comfortable condo on a beautiful beach

The property is in a great location. Nice pool, beautiful beach. Loved walking the beach every morning. The staff was very nice. Johns pass is right across the street for shopping, dinner, drinks and water tours.The condo could use some updating but the kitchen had everything you should need. Beds and living room furniture were comfortable.

Great location condo right on the beach across from shops and restaurants

Upon arrival at Surf Song check in was easy. Room impression was good except for a picture that had fallen off the wall & was just sitting on the floor now, a little worried we would get blamed for that. Coffee pot and keurig are available for coffee drinkers and many kitchen items for cooking except a pizza cutter. Dish washer would tip forward onto my foot while loading it. Windows in the living room were hard to open and were all or nothing. Window slammed down on my sisters finger even while opening it. Ceiling fan did not work in living room. Could not turn air conditioning below 72. Hot a muggy one night after raining made sleeping very uncomfortable. Beds were pretty hard and not too comfortable for sleeping. Water was shut off for about 4 hours for some maintenance in our building one day. Signs were placed in elevator, at office door and a bulletin door by the pool. Randomly took the elevator and saw it. Office didn't seem to care of our inconvenience of no water but let us use their bathroom. Better warning like a letter to each condo would be better for that. Pool was warm and inviting. Many lounge chairs outside. Walk right out to the beach with beach chairs that can be rented for the day. Johns pass with shops and restaurants is directly across the street. Personal parking stall was nice not to worry about where we were parking each day. Overall a decent stay but probably would pick a different place next time.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love staying at the Surf Song. It's kind of old school and has a nice vibe. Unfortunately my room #229 has not been kept up to date. I don't expect a lot but the beds in it are terrible. they actually made my back and sides sore. You would think that they could put some good mattresses in the rooms to make it more enjoyable. They also have a ceiling fan in the bedroom that barely works and has a sign on the wall that says it only works on low speed. It's a little absurd that they won't even put a cheap fan up that works properly !!! The bottom of the door in the bathroom is all tattered. It would be nice if they took a little pride in there unit. Now it's up for sale again and will probably be sold to another owner that doesn't care about how it looks either. Sadly I will not be staying there any longer. I like the Surf Song but you don't know what your going to get from one condo to the other.

Reviewer Comments: I have stayed at surf song over 25 times and the last 9 years in room 229.Since last year the unit got a generic refrigerator WITHOUT an ice make and had one self make ice tray. Let’s be honest an ice maker option may be an extra 100$ but in the last 2 years my weekly rental rate has more than went up over 1000$ per week!!! The power struggle with sunhost rentals as made for a less than clean property now. In the 7 day renal we did the pool looked like a pond for 3 of the 7 days! Also the unit 229 the ceiling fan DOES NOT work! The office remedy was giving us a box fan!! Also I called the current property manager about the pool and they hung up on me and said it was TAKEN CARE OF!

Room was as pictured...updated and nice furnishings. The ocean view from the living room window and proximity to the pool and beach was amazing! We enjoyed being able to be on the beach or across the street at St John’s Pass within a minute or two. It’s an older property but we felt it’s been nicely updated and clean! We also loved how small the complex was and never felt crowded on the beach! The only “negative” we could report back is the ceiling fan/ light in the bedroom did not work and at checkout I relayed that one of the beach chairs in the closet was broken and I was made to feel like the worst person and told I may be charged for it although she had no clue there was chairs for guest to use in the closet”. Overall we recommend this property and specific unit!!

The rooms are not very comfortable all the furniture including the beds are hard and flat to seat or lay on (you can feel the framing when you seat down). Sorry Sunhost next year we will find a new place to stay with some comfort on the inside.

A different unit had a different system but most guests I spoke to had the same problems. Stayed regularly for many years. Booked for next year.
