New Well Built Elegant Home on the Water 2 miles to Freeport, 9 to Portland!

Open the door and enter a large, high ceilinged, energy efficient, charming home with wonderful water views of the islands, boats and town dock from every window. In the late spring, summer and early fall there is a large ramp and dock in front of the house for your sitting and swimming pleasure. The house has three stories, fireplace, five big bedrooms plus one small bedroom and a den with fold out couch. There is a large deck, open living-dining-cooking area, gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, two ovens, front load washer-dryer in pantry plus extra ones on lower level, Viking six-burner stove top, lots of closets, radiant heat on lower level.

Our group of longtime women friends had a fabulous time in this beautiful spacious house with lovely views! The outside deck and the floating ( at high tide) dock were great places to gather! The location was perfect, close to town yet private. The kitchen was well supplied and easy for many guests to work in. We would absolutely stay here again! The owners were easy to communicate with! Beautiful location and a charming home for a family get-together. The house was well stocked and had all the amenities needed to make the stay comfortable. The host was responsive to all our questions. We had a wonderful time and look forward to coming back to coastal Maine.

Fabulous house

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. The house is lovely, the location is ideal, and we all can't wait to return again! We had a group of 10 people, and we enjoyed everything about the house, especially the kitchen the fireplace, and the dock. Highly recommend!

The house was perfect for our family gathering of 3 generations. The kitchen is stocked with good cooking gear, dishes, utensils, towels, and napkins. We were invited to use fresh herbs from the lovely garden. Several gathering spots, such as the porch, lower patio, and dock provide places to be together or for one to sneak off for a bit of solitude. The book collection is great. Freeport is just a short drive away and there is a small store/cafe within walking distance. The owners were very responsive to questions and requests.

It was an amazing location. It was quiet, private, and within driving range of everything. The house was very clean and beautiful. I would 100% recommend this location. I will be definitely be using it the next time i visit Portland.

I am one of four brothers and sisters who grew up in the charming village of South Freeport and this home was built for us to gather together a few times a year and for others to rent in between.

Why they chose this property

We love the village, the water and the proximity to Freeport and Portland and all the islands of Casco Bay. Freeport has many outlets, and is shopping heaven. Portland is a secret high culture mecca with excellent restaurants, visual arts, music and theatre. Both towns are minutes away.

What makes this property unique

Using the grill, lolling about on the balcony deck or by the fireplace (wood provided), appreciating nature and the quietness and the pull of the tides. Sitting or swimming from the dock at high tide.
