Bring your toys and come play year-round at this Northwoods getaway, sitting right on the shore of Catfish Lake in the Eagle River Chain of Lakes. Take advantage of the private dock and bring your own boat to spend summertime boating, fishing, and swimming, or opt for a quiet paddle in the two provided kayaks. Colder weather offers up snowmobiling, ice fishing, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Year-round, you’ll love the easy access to restaurants, supper clubs, shops, and amenities in Eagle River, around three miles west.

At home, warm mornings are made for a lakeside coffee on your waterfront deck. Inside, you’ll enjoy the same lovely view thanks to a triple set of French doors. The open-yet-cozy layout features pine-paneled walls and ceilings, comfy furnishings, and lots of space to spread out. Step into the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a full suite of stainless steel appliances, to whip up that walleye you caught earlier in the day, or toss it on the grill for dinner alfresco. Watch a movie from the DVD library or bust out a board game for a quiet night of family fun. At the end of the day, three serene bedrooms offer a restful night’s sleep. It’s time to turn your Northwoods getaway dreams into reality - all that’s left to do is book.

The Haven a pleasant place.
We had an enjoyable time there. However, we could not get the furnace to work and the temp. had cooled off enough that we needed it to run. I do not have a phone to contact anyone. I left a note for the cleaners and told them about it. Otherwise it was a very nice place to stay.

Overall – clean house, great location, and great local rep.
The house was exactly as described & very clean when we arrived. The kitchen had the needed equipment, including an extra tank for the grill. Great location on the chain of lakes. The lake has a sandy bottom & gradual entry, so kayaking from the front of the house was easy. The dock was suitable & had padding on the open side which was nice when docking our rented pontoon (from Watercraft Sports in Three Lakes-*highly* recommended). Previous reviews complained that the house was not clean & that there were no kayaks available – this was not the case now. The house was very clean. There were 2 kayaks; however, they had canoe paddles, not kayak paddles. Previous reviews also mentioned dock & dishwasher issues, but those had all been fixed by our arrival. My biggest concerns before our arrival were the canned responses I received to my email questions. In fact, I received the exact same email response when I asked 2 different questions about the kayaks. Thankfully, our concerns based on the previous reviews had all been addressed, but we weren’t assured of that until we actually got there. Communication with the Vacasa rep (robot) gets 0 stars and communication with local maintenance rep, Scott, gets 5 stars. He responded quickly to a WiFi issue. Suggestions: While the kitchen was well stocked with equipment, there were NO spices (not even salt). I would also suggest that more cleaning supplies are left – we had limited dishwashing soaps and no cleaning sprays.

Great Spot
The cabin was great and we thoroughly enjoyed the place. The lakes were fun, you can catch a ton of small panfish but nothing of note and not many other species of fish were caught either. Some notes for people as they rent this cabin. If you bring a boat that needs to be charged overnight you'll need about 300 feet of extension cords. Turning a trailer around on the property is very difficult.

The Haven
The property had several safety hazards including a very unsafe dock which my husband fell through thus hurting himself. Inside the dishwasher wasn’t even anchored to anything so you had to try to hold it up while stacking. There were several trip hazards in the floor & we all ended up tripping several times including the maintenance man who was there fixing a bed. In addition, there were quite a few cracked tile pieces in the floor. The shower head squealed. The sofas were dirty & we found a vap in one when we pulled the bed out. The sofa bed was of the poorest quality. We’re thankful we didn’t have any small children or elderly family members with us. We’ll not be staying here again.

They really need to change the description of what is offered on this property. I was looking so forward to kayaking and despite stating they have kayaks on property for use they DO NOT! They answer when you call via third party VASSCA. Repose is always blanketed and you are told it is being addressed by local team, it is NEVER addressed. There was leftover coffee in the coffee pot, not cool. Beware when using the dishwasher, it is not mounted in with screws, so while you are trying to load it tips forward and the unit fall s out The numeric signage to find your unit is not present, went to a different cabin at first. Should probably pick up the eye sore of the mattress that was burnt by someone in fire pit, this could be a safety concern for people. On the plus side, location is on the water a and close to town. Hoses setup is good for family and pets and it is peaceful. PLEASE get kayaks onsite or remove from WEBSITE that was VERY disappointing as was your lack of correcting the situation.
