Perfect location, perfect amenities and most importantly, BEST communication with any host that I've had to date. The kitchen was chef's kiss and the whole house felt cool despite the record heat in the area that weekend. Can't wait to come back next summer!

We Love Lake Life!!!!

I’ve been renting houses on Lake Wallenpaupauk for 15 years, and this a great one!! Great locations!! Spent our days on the dock, the 2 jet ski docks make coming and going so simple. House was clean and exactly as pictured. Communication is great with the owner!! Definitely plan on coming back!!

Great lakefront weekend

The lakefront access is the star of the show here. Nice weekend with the family. We had a couple of issues at first, but Octavio(host) was super responsive and checked in when needed.

College reunion

We were 6 old friends from college who got together at Wally’s Hideout to reconnect after far too long. The house is beautiful and there was plenty of space to spread out. We especially enjoyed hanging out by the fire pit at night. Would recommend this for a large family or a group of friends.

Family reunion in Poconos

Wally’s hideout was a perfect place for our family get together. There was an abundance of things to do outside. And even though Reign prevented us from taking advantage of those things, the inside of the house was especially appreciated. We had a blast, playing ping-pong, video games, watching the Olympics, and sharing, long meals and playing cards. The bedrooms were comfortable, and everybody could relax. The view of the lake was stunning.

Very disappointed in what we experienced-was not a “10” as rated. Neglected maintenance both inside and outside, spiders everywhere,, hot tub not safe healthwise, and top deck in need of shade. L-shaped living room couch recliners in-operable due to no power outlets in the floor. LP grill was beyond its useful life and was replaced within a day. First floor bedroom/laundry has serious mold/mildew issue, many kitchen drawers broken.

It is unfortunate you had an unpleasant experience. We strive in maintaining the property and we try to clean as best as possible, but being in the pocono mountains bugs may find their way in. The hot tub is cleaned after each check out so Im a bit confused on that aspect. As you did mention about the grill, it wasnt working properly but I made sure to provide a brand new grill in under 24 hours. Issues with mold or mildew was never brought up to me by you nor anyone else, but if this is accurate, I will make sure to look into this immediately.
