The place is great. Nice quiet area great scenery couldn't ask for better. House is very well supply and host were vary helpful. We will stay there again for sure.
This is rental is special. Its got everything our family needed to celebrate out daughters college graduation. The appreciation we have for the outdoor centric venue has been unmatched by other VRBO stays. We fished, sat around the fire, connected with nature, one another, and found peace. The lack of TVs was refreshing for all and allowed us to connect in a way often forgotten. Our hosts were thoughtful and went above and beyond, even included a special graduation acknowledgement for our daughter. Go! Run!! You wont regret it!!!

Sheri and her family were wonderful guests. They were kind, respectful, and communicated with us clearly before and during their stay. They came to celebrate a very special family milestone, and it was a pleasure to be part of such a meaningful weekend.
They treated our home and property with care and appreciation, and we would be happy to welcome them back to Station Camp Getaway anytime. Highly recommended to other hosts!
We had the time of our lives and the property owners treated us like family. If you ever want to stay at a peaceful getaway, this is the place. The house was huge and clean. The lake was unbelievable and my son caught a 7 pound bass! We celebrated our birthday week and have many memories we will never forget!

We thoroughly enjoyed having Eric and family stay in our home. We would highly recommend them to other BNB host as they were respectful, good caretakers of our things and friendly, communicative guests that were a pleasure to observe enjoying all our place has to offer. They really loved fishing in our lake and also hiked to the back end of our 58 acre property where Station Camp Creek and Red Lick Creek converge. Any host should feel fortunate when they book a stay.
The property is just gorgeous!! We really loved the sunroom with the large table for family meals and games! The beds are very comfortable and kitchens and bathrroms are fully stocked with everything you could ever need! It was great to have the pond for fishing. Also l we loved spending time with Farrah, the horse (accompanied). Randall and Nurys are absolutely amazing to talk to, very response and they truely care about making your stay exactly perfect for you! Dont miss a chance to see a sunset over the mountains!!

About the host
Hosted by Nurys & Randall
We are Nurys and Randall, a bilingual, bicultural couple who chose this Appalachian valley as our forever home — and we have never looked back. Before Station Camp, we lived in places most people only dream of visiting. An ancient volcanic crater in the mountains of Panama. A coastal town in central Chile. Each place had its own extraordinary beauty. But nowhere have we felt more alive, more grounded, or more genuinely at peace than here — in this quiet valley in Estill County, Kentucky, where the Bluegrass meets the Appalachians. We did not just buy a property. We built a life here. We raise Suffolk Punch draft horses — one of the rarest breeds in the world. A Highland cow and her calf. Two Thoroughbreds. We tend the land, the animals, and the pond. We watch the deer cross the field at dusk. We listen to the blackbirds choreograph in winter skies. We wake up every morning genuinely grateful to be here. Station Camp Getaway is an extension of that life — a place we are deeply proud and deeply grateful to be able to share it with guests who appreciate nature, stillness, and authentic hospitality. We live in a separate home right next door. We give every guest complete privacy and space. But we are always close if you need us — a message away, every single day, within the hour. Our goal is simple: that every person who stays at Station Camp leaves feeling restored, connected, and already planning their return. We speak English and Spanish. Five years of hosting. 4.98 stars across 114 reviews on Airbnb. We take this seriously — because this place deserves it.
Why they chose this property
Station Camp Getaway was born from a life lived close to nature. Before settling in this Appalachian valley, home was an ancient volcanic crater in the mountains of Panama, and before that, a coastal town in central Chile. Each place extraordinary in its own way. But nowhere has felt more grounding, more alive, or more genuinely peaceful than this quiet corner of Estill County, Kentucky — where the Bluegrass meets the Appalachians. This is not just a rental property. It is a working farm and a cherished home — one that happens to be available to guests who appreciate stillness, nature, and authentic hospitality. Suffolk Punch draft horses, one of the rarest breeds in the world, roam the fields alongside a Highland cow and her calf, and two Thoroughbreds. Deer cross the yard at dusk. Blackbirds choreograph in winter skies. Hummingbirds lose their shyness by summer. The A-Frame home next door was designed to share all of that — the views, the animals, the silence, the stars — with guests who truly need a break from everything. As hosts, the priority is always the same: complete privacy, prompt communication, and a stay that feels memorable from the first morning coffee to the last night in the hot tub. Bilingual in English and Spanish, available every day, and genuinely invested in every stay. Grateful to call this valley home. Even more grateful to be able to share it.
What makes this property unique
Station Camp Getaway is not a typical vacation rental. It is a one-of-a-kind farm retreat in a private Appalachian valley — and there is simply nothing else like it in Kentucky. Rare Animals You Can Actually Meet Home to one of the rarest horse breeds in the world — the Suffolk Punch, with fewer than 2,000 left worldwide — alongside a Highland cow and her calf, and two Thoroughbreds. Guests can feed them, brush them, and hear their stories. Not from a fence. Up close. This is the moment most guests remember longest. 58 Acres of Private Valley No neighbors in sight. No noise. Just open fields, mountain ridgelines, two creeks winding the perimeter, and skies full of stars at night. The kind of space and silence that is genuinely hard to find. A Wellness Experience Built In Most properties have a hot tub. Station Camp has a hot tub under open mountain skies, a dry infrared sauna, a fully equipped gym, a yoga space, and a private stocked fishing pond with pedal boat and hammocks. Restoration is not an afterthought here — it is the entire point. Intentionally No TV Every design decision at Station Camp was made to encourage presence, not distraction. Vinyl records. Board games. Binoculars for birdwatching. A coffee bar stocked and ready every morning. Conversations that actually happen. A Home, Not a Rental The hosts live next door and are genuinely invested in every stay. The home is stocked, cared for, and personal — right down to the irreplaceable vinyl collection and the hand-selected books on the shelf. Unbeatable Location Red River Gorge, Natural Bridge, Daniel Boone National Forest, Berea Pinnacles, and Anglin Falls — all within 40 to 45 minutes. Adventure when you want it. Complete stillness when you don't.
