Gorgeous mountain setting, across from Sugar Mountain resort. The perfect location and distance to all mountain activities.
Please note for winter months - 4WD, AWD or chains are highly recommended, as our driveway does have an incline and we receive regular snowfall.

Short 6 minute drive to downtown Banner Elk and a 1 mile walking trail in the Tate-Evan’s park. Plus plenty of eateries. Everything was as described and the host was most responsive with any questions I had. Compact, clean and cosy living space. Thankyou!

The condo was perfect for my husband and me. It was very clean. Glad there was heat when it got down to 45 degrees during the night. We enjoyed relaxing in the living room area in the evening after days of sightseeing and visiting the Land of Oz.

Perfect Weekend Stay

I think this is the absolute best VRBO stay ever! The location was great, it was very clean and well equipped with all the necessities one would need. And everything is labeled or the directions are left for you in the manual. The bed slept great and we had extra pillows. It is just down the road from Autumn in Oz theme park and Hawks Nest zip lining. Many restaurants are near by. Can’t wait to book again.

Little Gem at Sugar Mountain

This is a gem of a property and was perfect for our very short stay in the area. The unit is small but is very well equipped, cleverly using the space and great attention to the details. It is accurately represented on the site and the owner communication is excellent. Thank you Mike and Stephanie for your professionalism in the rental market.

Unit was clean but has essentially NO closet space. Closets are filled with supplies plus one has the hot water heater and the other the washer and dryer. You have to live out of your suitcase.Would work for short stays.

For our future guests: there is another almost full size closet with shelving, hangers, washer/driver, etc inside the unit. This guest references our owner's closet, which is typically locked. Not sure how they could not see another closet.

convenient location

Despite the mattress sinking into the middle, the floors feeling like they might be collapsing underneath, the shower floor pooling water, and the spider webs, the unit is a perfect size, perfect location, has cute mountain decor, and a lovely private deck. We also appreciated having a larger fridge than a mini fridge, and way to heat up some tea. It was cozy and quiet and surrounded by gorgeous trees. It was next door to food stores, shopping, restaurants, and of course all the outdoor things your heart desires: hiking, river fun, golf courses, etc. Great price too!
