About this property
Peaceful Cambridge Home on Jenkins Creek
While we do not include linens/towels (EXCEPT DURING THE MONTHS OF JANUARY THROUGH APRIL!), we know you'll find other provided amenities, our convenient location, waterfront dock, and amazing views, to well make up for this. It also provides additional time for cleaning/sanitizing and preparing the house and property for our guests. (Note: Once booked, we can provide guests with linens/towels for a nominal fee.) During the months of July and August, a minimum stay of 7 nights is required. An exception to this is the last week in August immediately before the Labor Day weekend, which rents as a 6 night stay arriving on a Saturday and departing on Friday, at the start of the holiday weekend.
Now that you've decided to vacation in the Cambridge area, we hope you'll choose our home on beautiful Jenkins Creek for your stay. Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this fully furnished, one story, 3 bedroom 2 bath brick home has an in-ground pool 2 person spa, and is surrounded by 1.5 acres of lawn and trees with 460' of water frontage providing views of the creek from most rooms.
All bedrooms have ample dresser and closet space. The master bedroom with its water views has a private bath, queen size bed, with a 27' LED flat screen HD TV with DVD player. A second bedroom has a queen bed, water views, and a 22' LED flat screen HD TV with DVD player.. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds and and also has a 22' LED flat screen HD TV and DVD player. TV.
Gather in the living room with plenty of over-sized seating and enjoy the 50" flat screen TV with full cable, and Blu-ray disc player. The large picture windows offer a wonderful view of the dock and creek as well as the in-ground pool and patio. You'll love visits during the cooler months when you can build a fire in our living room's raised hearth fireplace. If you travel with your laptop, our home is equipped with wireless Internet.
Choose a good book from our collection in the mahogany lined den, connect your gaming system into the 32" flat screen HD TV, watch a movie on the Blu-ray disc player from our selection of DMD's, or choose from a wide selection of board/card games for all ages. The game room adjacent to the kitchen contains a foosball table, a corn hole game, and ping pong table for family fun. Tennis courts, playground, and basketball courts are only 1 1/4 miles away.
Our fully stocked kitchen has the cook/baker in mind with a full complement of pots, pans, bake ware, necessary utensils, 30" convection oven, glass cook top, microwave, drip coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, toaster oven, crock pot, hand mixer, blender, waffle iron, electric griddle, electric skillet, dish washer, and outside gas grill. A full selection of spices is available. We also have a large, outdoor crab/shrimp steaming pot with burner and propane tank.
The dining room table has a lovely view of the creek. Two wooden restaurant style high chairs are available.
We provide all paper products (toilet paper, paper towels and table napkins) and cleaning products (dish washing liquid, dishwasher tablets/rinse agent, washing machine detergent/dryer sheets, bath soap, and liquid hand soap). Why they chose this property
For years we crossed the Choptank River bridge and drove through Cambridge on our way to vacations in Ocean City and were intrigued by its quaintness. We spent a few long weekends exploring the area, decided to purchase a home, and found our property on Jenkins Creek. We've decided to share our home as a vacation property. We hope you enjoy our home and the Cambridge area as much as we do!
What makes this property unique
Our home is located at the end of Jenkins Creek Road overlooking the water and only several minutes from downtown Cambridge with its unique shops and restaurants. Minimal local traffic make walking, jogging, and bike riding safe and pleasurable. The school and city park at the town end of Jenkins Creek Road (1 1/4 miles away) have tennis and basketball courts, play areas for kids, and views of the Choptank river. The Jerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh, with its public boat launch, fishing docks, and picnic areas is only about 2 miles away. Also, because of our location, you can explore the Cambridge area without the hassle of the beach traffic on Route 50.
