Favorite cabin we've stayed in when visiting Cloudcroft. The Christmas decorations were so nice. The rustic look, the accommodations, the kitchen, the deck, location, etc. Everything was great! Not one complaint. Will be back soon!
Very rustic house. Decorated with rough wood antlers and moose stuff. The house was very well stocked with whatever we need. I would highly recommend this house to anybody.
The house was very well stocked with all the kitchen utensils we needed and very convenient to find. We all slept comfortable with lots of room. Plus, the deck is super comfy. Everything my stressed filled family needed to unwind for a long weekend.
Cozy cabin in the woods- clean, comfortable, well-stocked, clear and thorough instructions. We thoroughly enjoyed our break from the heat in the mountains, hummingbirds central on the porch, and the nearby area shops and food were also very enjoyable. Thank you!
We recently stayed in Cloudcroft to be near our boys who were camping nearby. From the point of opening the front door and during our entire stay, the house felt like home. The place had so many decorative details that made it feel like a genuine cabin. The owner was attentive and responded quickly to any questions we had, like finding the toaster. Thank you for sharing your home.
We spent 8 days in Cloudcroft for a Christmas vacation with our daughters from Chicago & Detroit. Rustic and quaint cabin, with loads of charm, in the center of Cloudcroft. Host did an incredible job decorating the cabin (inside & out) for Christmas.
Important: beds were incredibly comfortable (with nice bed linens), water pressure was great, and showerheads were nice, kitchen was well-stocked, with everything you need and everything worked. Fabulous outdoor living space and the inside of the cabin was very comfortable. Host was professional, polite and easy to contact. Absolutely recommend.
Property had all the cookware we could possibly need, countless spices, and staples such as flour, sugar, coffee grounds, cooking oil, condiments such as mustard and ketchup, etc. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, entertainment options on the Roku TV, Wi-Fi, and other amenities at the property. We went to solar observatory in Sunspot, local brewery/pizza restaurant, McGinn's Pistachioland, Alamogordo Space museum, and many other places we enjoyed. Super friendly host. Family Dollar and large Allsups convenience store are nearby where we purchased laundry detergent, aluminum foil, vegetables, dry goods, etc. Cabin is older and some doors don't close well and floor squeeks in certain spots but is in great condition overall. We really enjoyed our stay and property looks just like the photos. Locals were very nice.
Location was great. It's about a 15-minute walk (crossing the highway, but there's a designated crosswalk) to the Burro Street shopping. We walked to the bakery for breakfast twice.
The house is very nice. There are smart TVs in every bedroom and the living room, including built-in DVD players for two of the TVs (which was important to us, having brought along a few DVDs bought especially for our vacation).
The kitchen is unusually WELL STOCKED. This is a huge deal to us as we are big into cooking and tend to make all our meals while on vacation.
Communication with the host was immediate and completely resolved my issue. (I'm a dummy who didn't realize the power strip was off, hence why the TV wouldn't turn on, and was looking for a separate DVD player and consequently completely overlooked the signs posted on two TVs saying "DVD player.")
The deck has two levels and two tables with several chairs each and wired Christmas-type lighting that makes it completely magical at night. There is also an indoor dining room with seating for 6. We ate half our meals on the deck and half indoors.
