About this property

Have a peaceful stay with the whole family in our fully renovated modern yet cozy mountain cabin situated on 100+ acres, overlooking our 16 acre meadow. Amenities abound with large screened porch, huge deck with hot tub and barrel sauna (with a view), dining table, outdoor shower (during warm months), and fire pit. Our A-frame work/yoga cabin is available as an add-on. Light and bright throughout the house with a fully stocked kitchen. Large windows in all rooms capture the meadow and hillsides.

Tranquil escape.....

Tranquil escape.......... Dinner on the large table outback was perfect and the Firefly show at night was amazing with the smell of fresh lavendar in the air... Comfy beds offered a feeling of home. Hike at Grayson Hghlands a must.

Beautiful home in Relaxing Setting

We had a short, but wonderful stay in this beautifully decorated and designed, well-appointed home. The layout of the home is great for families and the screened porch and deck were perfect for relaxing and taking in pretty meadow and mountain views. Make sure to hop in the hot tub after dark to watch thousands of fireflies glowing in the meadow and mountainside. It was magical. The furniture and beds are very comfortable. There are nice quality linens, and everything is very clean. We did not get a chance to use the sauna or firepit, although we will next time. The optional office space in the A frame worked great as a quiet place to work and do video calls. There is a nice loop trail in nearby Lansing and we had delicious blueberry cider and breakfast pastries from the General Store there. Pie on the Mountain in Lansing made tasty sandwiches. Stop in West Jefferson (a cute town nearby with shops and restaurants to explore) to get groceries at a very well-stocked Ingles grocery there. We will come back again to relax at this home and checkout more trails, parks and activities in the area. Thanks to our hosts for all the nice touches.

Why they chose this property

We like to let our guests know that this special place was brought to life with a lot of love as our own family's mountain retreat, and is intended for a tranquil getaway for one or two families. We fell in love with the property and it's vast meadow and mountainside and we had a vision for a beautiful renovation we did ourselves. But it was getting to know the little town of Lansing and its community that really got us excited to make this a home away from home. We can't wait for you to fall in love with it as well!
