We stayed there with our large young family and it was perfect. Rooms are good size, backyard and patio area was a great hangout after our morning hikes. Plenty of space in the lower level to hangout as a family at night. It is a bit of a drive to Garden of the Gods and Red Rock open space so plan ahead for that. (20 min or so)
Initial pull up- wow! Big house, upgraded nicely, lots of natural lighting throughout. Cool & techy. House layout was perfect for our family. Comfortable beds, lots of extras- (sheets, blankets, pillows) nice easy parking, fun games inside and out. It was a great stay for us!
Property was advertised as pet free. That was important due to allergies. We arrived to find a property with pet hair, a dog door, dog dish, and dog pad in children’s bedroom. Owner claimed no pets there since last year, but then admitted they keep their own pet there in the winter! Directions in clean up said to clean up after your dog. Why put that if no dogs allowed? We moved the pet pad in our kids bedroom with a teepee over it and then the owner said we broke it and demanded payment. Plenty of better options to spend $400 a night. Dogs next door loud as well. View of mountains partially blocked by tree

Hi Laura, I’m sorry to hear about your response. As I mentioned, we stay there during the winter with our own dog, so we’re familiar with the setup. We do not stay there any of the time the house is booked! We specifically block of any months we do stay and do a very thorough cleaning when we leave. The dog door came with the house, and we didn’t see a need to replace it. The foam pad you mentioned is for the kids' comfort in the teepee, as shown in our VRBO listing. It’s disheartening to hear these complaints now, especially since you initially expressed how much you loved the house and appreciated the care we put into it. It seems you're backtracking on your words after we requested payment for the damage done on your end. I also found it concerning that you threatened to leave a bad review if we didn’t stop requesting the payment for the damage done. If you had brought any concerns to us during your stay, we would have loved the chance to address them.
