Highly Recommended!

This was perfect for us. We are two eighty-year-old women who came to town to visit high school friends. We were very impressed with cleanliness, location, beauty and comfort of the property. It is very well stocked with everything from appliances to incidentals. I needed scissors because I was wrapping a package and found some easily. In the early morning I enjoyed sitting on the patio listening to the birds. The instructions sent by the owner are clear and easy to follow - but do read them carefully. The way you turn on the shower is unusual so read the instructions before you step in the tub. The TV is good and I was able to connect my own Hulu account to it pretty easily. I highly recommend this home!

Heaven on Ascot

Heaven on Ascot was great! We stayed to visit colleges and the town itself, which we loved. The house was charming, neighborhood picturesque and Sharla was prompt with any questions we had. We took a stroll around the neighborhood one evening and discovered a pond and numerous wildlife throughout the neighborhood. Great place to stay and discover Chapel Hill!

Maintenance issue derailed our stay

We booked this property in order to spend a weekend with our daughter who is a grad student at UNC Chapel Hill. The check-in went smoothly. We had been at the house for about two hours when the ceiling in the closet began to leak. It was around 10:20 pm and just as we were getting ready to go bed. We placed pots and a bucket under the leaking areas to help minimize the damage to the carpet and home. We began messaging the host via text and phone call. No response. After 45 minutes, we reached out to VRBO who was of little help since they offered (wait for it!) to reach out to the host. I explained had done that already with no success. We waited another 30 minutes while they did so and they let us know they could not reach the host. (Surprise!!). By this time, we had already booked a hotel for the evening since our daughter had to work the next morning and we couldn’t wait much longer for a resolution. The VRBO rep in the phone mumbled something about processing a refund. While we were driving to the hotel, the host called me. She apologized for being unreachable. (Didn’t help me much at that point and she didn’t explain why she had been unreachable.) We summarized the issue for her and encouraged her to get someone in there soon to address the problem. We continued our way to the hotel. Fortunately, one of the local Marriott properties accommodated us in one of its suites for the next 4 nights at a rate lower than the. VRBO. We trust a refund is on its way!

Great place to stay at!

This charming house was perfect for my family. Everything was clean and well maintained. The parking spot outside is right next to the front door for easy access to get in. Excellent communication with the propery owner and very easy to work with. I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

Truly Heaven

This property was listed as “Heaven on Ascot”. It truly was for a reunion visit of myself and a former work mate and she is also a dear friend. She too found this place as extremely clean. The layout was great and perfect we each had a bedroom and bath which afforded privacy for each of us. We even met some nice neighbors. If we come back to the area, this is definitely a place we will book again. Thanks again!!
