Alpine Meadows and Palisades Tahoe winter resorts are very close and snow tubing at Palisades is available too. Tahoe XC is not far away if you want to cross country ski or snowshoe.

In the summer, you are just a short distance (4 miles) from Lake Tahoe. There are also hiking trails that surround the area, notably the favorite Five Lakes Trail is and easy 2.5 miles away. Horseback riding, and mountain biking trails are all right here too.
