Summary
We were disappointed with the steepness of the winding staircase, and most of the hot tub jets did not operate. We had noisy neighbors, and it was difficult to warm the place.. It was very clean, but we stayed less than 24 hrs out of our 3 day stay. Will not go back.

Hot Tub Time Machine
Much better than the movie! Ten minutes in this cabin's mineral- water-only hot tub will make you feel ten years younger. Seriously, if your only experience of hot tubs has been hazy chemical saturation, you don't know what you're missing. Besides this, the cabin was a perfect getaway for us and our dog and a great home-base for exploring Hot Springs and several area hikes. We knew booking in January was a risk weather-wise, but we had sunny cool days and the trails mostly to ourselves--leaving just before a big winter storm. If you can time it right, try booking in the off-season. Who can beat having your own private hot tub soak after a crisp morning hike up to Rich Mountain Lookout Fire Tower overlooking the Tennessee/NC border? The cabin was supplied with everything we needed and the farm location was really scenic and peaceful--a truly rejuvenating trip.

About the host

Our family moved to Hot Springs in the Fall of 1992. We began farming organic vegetables for tailgate markets in Hot Springs and Asheville and sold a wide range of vegetables, plants, flowers, jams and baked goods. In 2001 we decided to open up the farm to guests, renting the Pine Cabin. It was a great success and we now have three cabins available for nightly and weekly rental year round. While drilling a well for water (we formally relied completely on the town water system) we were surprised to find the famous Hot Springs mineral water, which we are happy to share with our guests. The farm is ever changing and evolving. We now grow two main crops, organic heirloom tomatoes and blackberries, and sell to local stores and restaurants from Hot Springs to Asheville, also making these crops and our garden vegetables available to our guests when in season. We also offer vegetable, flower and herb plants in the Springs and sell each first weekend of May at the Annual Herb Festival at the WNC Farmers Market.

Why they chose this property

Enjoy the quiet, lovely atmosphere of Broadwing Farm where you feel a hundred miles away but you're less than one mile from the small, quaint mountain town of Hot Springs, NC.

What makes this property unique

With your cabin you have a private hot tub, filled for your arrival with only fresh, hot mineral water from the ground beneath the farm. Soak at your leisure and take in the benefits of the famous Hot Springs mineral water.
