Perfect place to stay for whatever your trip needs
It was a nice, well maintained property, that didn't stick us in the middle of a crowded complex. Quiet. Calm. And so nice to not have to stress over anything.

Thank you for the kind words. Welcome back any time!
Great cottage, close to town, but also super quiet.
we had a wonderful trip. easy to find. quick communication with the owner, had everything we needed. very clean, dog friendly rental, loved it. Multiple homes on the property. but didnt feel close to any of them. Beautiful hike for kids and dog.
We stayed at Twin Willows in Mars Hill, NC at Cascade Cottage and had the best time. It was absolutely amazing and beautiful. I would definitely recommend staying there. Smokin’Joe Lasher food truck was the best, he can definitely cook! Delicious! We will definitely stay here again and I highly recommend Twin Willows and stay at Cascade Cottage..
What an absolute gem of a property! Joe is a spectacular host and this is a beautiful place. 10 out of 10 would recommend! We booked at the last minute for an impromptu 2-night stay over the July 4, 2026 weekend (2 adults and a dog). Joe immediately reached out to let us know that our stay would coincide with a huge Independence Day celebration at Twin Willows, in case this wasn’t the vibe we were hoping for. I appreciated the consideration and heads-up. We arrived in the middle of the party, with live music and families and of course Joe’s cooking. Despite the crowds, check-in was seamless and they had saved us a parking space directly in front of the cottage. The space was comfy and had all the necessities, but was definitely not the main attraction. We spent most of our time exploring the stunning property, enjoying the music, and walking around Mars Hill. This was great for our dog, too. She enjoyed roaming the trails, splashing in the creek, and soaking up all of the attention from the other guests.
The home was clean and comfortable - a great place to rest after 2 days spent volunteering.
We weren't able to get the Keurig to work. Also we suggest heavier curtains in one bedroom to keep outside light out at night. Other than those 2 areas, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would highly recommend it to others.
