About this property
MCM Spanish Revival Estate across street from Southern Pines Golf Club
This 1928 historic estate is located across the street from the newly renovated Southern Pines Golf Club, a Donald Ross golf-course. Purposefully designed and furnished to meld Mid-Century Modern and Spanish Revival, The Estate is a stunning get-away.
The space
A dark and moody library leads through double doors onto a climate-controlled covered porch/ sunroom, featuring floor to ceiling windows, beautiful live plants, and plenty of seating for enjoying coffee in the morning or playing a game of poker around the table. Head inside through either the living room door or the wet-bar area; complete with a standard drip-coffee maker, a K-cup machine, full cocktail set, and all the cocktail/champagne/wine/beer glasses you could possibly need. A 2-seat breakfast table receives plenty of morning sun. A full-size kitchen is equipped with everything necessary for preparing full-course meals (mixing bowls, pots/pans, Victorinox chef knife, cutting boards, etc). Upstairs you will find a King-size bedroom, a Queen-size bedroom, both with ample closet and storage space. Both beds have two end-tables, each with a lamp that has USB charging ports for easy phone charging. The two upstairs bedroom share a full-size bathroom. The downstairs bedroom features a Twin size day-bed, closet, and is adjacent to a partial bathroom(shower, toilet, sink).
Guest access
There is plenty of parking in the front of the house, and surrounding the house is ample mature landscaping and wildlife. Often sighted on the property is a large family of deer, lots of small wildlife such as squirrels and birds, and even an occasional owl sighting. Outside the large porch/ sunroom is a sidewalk patio, with places to sit and relax as well as an outdoor dining area. Enjoy the outdoors at night with plenty of light provided by string lights controlled by a light switch.
Other things to note
This is a 5000 square foot house built in the 1920`s with several additions made throughout the years. This unit is the primary home, and there are 2 other smaller units on the other side of the house. Both utilize their own private entrances as well as separate designated parking spots.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
-Please no smoking or open flames inside the house
-Please treat the house kindly, it is a 1928 home and we`ve done our best to bring it back to life while keeping it`s historic charm and character
-Please follow the check-out instructions sent the night before check-out
-There is fire-extinguisher under the kitchen sink, and 2 flashlights in the kitchen drawers incase of a power-outage; please do not remove the flashlights from the unit
-Please adhere to the local area`s `quiet` hours, which are from 10pm-7am(no hooting and hollering outside at midnight lol)
-Washer and dryer are located in the basement. Feel free to use them both as well as the provided detergent if needed, but please do not overload the washer! The light-switch to the basement is located on the right as soon as you open the door to the basement(in the wet-bar area).
-Enjoy your stay at The Estate!
