Find your Groove in Ocean Beach
Just north of Point Loma, this small beach town is a favorite among locals for its blissful mix of activities and pastimes, including surfing, sunbathing near the pier and strolling among the many surf shops, taco stands and unique local boutiques. Ocean Beach boasts a throwback vibe of vintage SoCal, coupled with friendly locals, great dining and microbrews, and a vibrant nightlife scene.

WHERE TO GO
The Pier at the foot of Newport Avenue is one of the longest piers in Southern California, extending a half mile out to sea. The Ocean Beach Pier is one of the few places in San Diego where you can fish without a valid California fishing license. It is now fully reopened after extensive repairs due to storm and wave damage.
Dog Beach is wedged between the Mission Bay Harbor Channel and the jetty at the north end of Ocean Beach. Here, pets are not only allowed on the beach, but are permitted to play leash-free with other canine beach-lovers.

This shabby Chic bungalow is walking distance to the beach, boardwalk and downtown shops , eating. Great outdoor space for BBQ and enjoying your morning coffee or evening glass of wine. Free on site parking included.

I loved my stay at the beach cottage! It checked all of my boxes; comfortable bed, coffee, clean, quiet, great location (it really is 2 blocks from the beach), restaurants, Old Town, the airport (very little noise in the daytime and none at night), and parking. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

The unit was clean and I appreciated the bedroom being a bit separated from the living area. It was musty when we checked in. We were able to air out the unit except the bathroom continued to smell like mildew. It was clean though. Although the bathroom was not as nice as it looked in the photos, I think it is a great property for the price and location.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the house, it was so easy to book and cozy. We were at San Diego for my son’s military graduation ceremony and family events, we would arrive exhausted and we were so glad that the place clean and cozy for rest and has everything we need. I really recommend this cozy bungalow, it’s small but it was perfect for my family of four.

Affordable spot in a great location!

The property was just what we needed for our group of 3 adults to stay near the beach for a few days. Not really set up for dining in, but for breakfast and sightseeing it worked well, and it was great to have a dedicated parking place!

We arrived late after a long day of travel expecting to settle in and rest, but the property was far from as advertised. The indoor temperature was 81F, and the space felt stuffy. The air conditioning unit was improperly installed, sitting on the floor with its exhaust hose running through an unsealed hole in the wall, leaving a visible gap to the outside and raising concerns about insects and inefficiency.The home’s cleanliness was unacceptable. The kitchen countertops were covered in grease, and the oven and stove had visible food residue, indicating they had not been cleaned between guests. The front door was marked with dirty handprints, and the bathroom had visible mold and a shower that would not drain, making it unusable.The flooring felt soft and unstable, raising concerns about structural integrity. Lighting was also an issue—none of the lamps were plugged in, and the only outlets were near the ceiling, making them impractical to use.The bedding was also unclean, with crumbs on the sheets and even a worm in the bed, making it impossible to stay comfortably.The next morning, I contacted the host to report these issues, but she was dismissive and accused me of causing the kitchen mess, despite us not using it. I offered proof, but she refused to consider it.I then contacted VRBO, and a three-way call was arranged. The host was rude, interrupted frequently, and ultimately hung up on both me and the representative, leaving the situation unresolved.With no support

It was a really cute home and in a pretty nice location it was just a little warm but the home owners provide plenty of fans to set up around the house overall 10/10
