This spacious (over 6,300 square foot) 12 bedroom, 7 bath home on over 10 acres is the perfect gathering place where everyone can be together under one roof yet have privacy! It's the perfect place for a family reunion or to celebrate that birthday party or anniversary with your loved ones.

Enjoy these fun extras: ping pong table, pool table, basketball hoop, foosball table, sunroom, huge porch swing, pickleball court, volleyball net, playground, grill and a firepit.

Only 7 miles to Notre Dame Stadium and 3 minutes from restaurants and shopping with reliable wifi!

We have enjoyed hosting many groups for the Notre Dame Football games. Graduations, sports and team gatherings, bible retreats, work bonding/team building and family reunions and get togethers. We would love to host you next!

Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
-Let us know if anything was damaged or broken. -Please leave the beds you used unmade - Start the dishwasher and wash all the dishes -Empty the trash in the bins on the back side of the house
-If you used the grill please leave it clean with the cover on and make sure the propane is turned off. -Pile used towels on the bathroom or laundry room floor or tub.
Leave the house secure with windows and doors locked, water off and thermostats set. Let me know if you have any questions at all!
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Johnston cousins reunion

Host was very communicative and helpful. Great house for large groups. Our group was nine adults and needed nine bedrooms…we fit very comfortably. Eating and common areas were spacious and comfortable. Overall great experience.

We had a great weekend at The Gathering Place. We had 19 family members. The property had plenty of room for all of us to hang out comfortably. The porch is a great place to spend the evening with family.

A Perfect Family Gathering Spot

I have had mixed results with VRBO in terms of accurate listings, but this one is absolutely spot on in terms of delivering what it promises and more. We travelled a long way to reconnect with our family, and we wanted a place where we could all relax, the adults could reconnect, and the children (age range of 3 to 19) could enjoy a variety of activities. The Gathering Place was absolutely perfect! Everyone found something to do: either the swimming pool, or the pickle ball courts, or indoor child's play room, or ping pong, or watching the olympics, and literal acres to roam. Holly, the host, was very helpful in checking in and out and responsive to all our questions. The location is private but super convenient for any needs in town. It felt like a home as well, not a dorm or a party spot, and we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. A gem in South Bend.

Our family loves providing a place where we can bring families together! The Gathering Place is perfect for Family Reunions, Family Birthday Celebrations, and attending events at Notre Dame-only 7 miles away. It feels and little country and is peaceful but has reliable Wi-Fi and is only 3-4 minutes from a Walmart and restaurants. Our families favorites are Chick-fil-A and Texas Roadhouse.

Why they chose this property

Over 10 acres of peace and quite and room to play but close to shopping and restaurants and Notre Dame. You can't beat the location!

What makes this property unique

We have room for a big crowd. With 12 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms we can comfortably host up to 30 guests. When you book, you get a lot of the fun built right in. We have a pickleball court, soccer goals, volleyball, basketball, game tables, a game room, and a fun playroom for the little ones.
