The bathrooms and kitchen have been thoughtfully modernized while preserving the original character of the 1935 build.

Highly disappointed

Our vacation was scheduled for June 23-June 30. We paid an early checkin fee to check in 4 hours early. On the surface everything looked nice. However, the beds were hard and very uncomfortable. The listing says there is a washer and dryer, there was a washer/dryer in one but the dryer wouldn’t work. Called the Management company they sent someone out who said it was only a washer. They didn’t know how to operate it. They never did anything to correct the issue. The air conditioner would automatically change to 78° in the middle of the night. We couldn’t get it to stay lower. We ended up leaving the morning of June 27th because we were so uncomfortable. Also, brought to there attention about palmetto bugs being inside the home. I’ve lived on the water in Florida for years and never had an issue with them being inside my home. The management/owners were not helpful at all with correcting issues or giving any kind of refund for the nights not used. I will never use this realty company or VRBO for that matter again. I’d rather pay to stay in a hotel. Easier to hold them accountable.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family found the vacation rental at 2316 Demere Road on Saint Simons Island, GA to be utterly delightful! We visited St. Simons in the process of settling our son into his apartment at College of Coastal Georgia for the upcoming fall term. We desired proximity to the local amenities including shopping, eateries, and the college in Brunswick, and this location delivered it all! Might I add that Emmons Realty was also fantastic to work with.
