Great little cottage for our 2 weeks at Hits On the Hudson. Lots of character and well maintained (just a few ants - I guess that time of year). Kitchen was very well equipped so we were able to eat in and have lovely meals - beautiful setting to eat outside. Beds were comfortable and showers were hot with good water pressure. When we had an issue with the dishwasher they were very quick to respond and get things fixed.
This property was amazing! It was exactly as pictured on the listing, and the amenities were above and beyond. The communication with the owner was beyond excellent. I hope to stay here again.
Second time staying at this property while attending HITS on the Hudson. Perfect size, great location, and easy to understand entry and stay instructions. We loved this place the first time we stayed and the second time didn’t disappoint! Thank you

Carl, thank you for returning to Red Cottage and for your kind review. We're glad the size, location, and entry instructions continued to meet your needs. We look forward to hosting you again during future HITS on the Hudson events.
My husband and I came out to celebrate our anniversary and enjoy the towns in the area—Woodstock, Kingston, and Saugerties. We truly enjoyed our stay at Le Petit Cottage; the house was full of charm and warmth. It was stocked with everything we needed, with the exception of a microwave (my husband got creative warming up his leftovers!).The house was dog-friendly, and our little cocker spaniel loved playing in the backyard. The neighbors were very friendly when we took the dog out for long walks, and we found the surrounding towns to be wonderfully dog-friendly as well, with friendly people everywhere we went. The house was spacious and more than comfortable for the three of us. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily come back!Sincerely, David Vizcarrondo
Lovely cottage nestled in the trees. We arrived at night which did make it slightly harder to find. Older country home but it’s updated to provide all that we needed to stay comfortablely without losing the French cottage charm I recommend this home to anyone who’s looking for something that is unique and cozy. This is not a boring cookie cutter copy of many of the other standard rentals. Would love to rent this space again next year.
The property was clean, cute and very comfortable. Love the country charm and the proximity to the horse show grounds (about 12 min drive). One of the upstairs bedrooms was a little tough for my 6'5" husband clearance wise but it all worked out great.
Overall the property was okay and our stay was satisfactory. Main problem was flies in the house and in particular the third bedroom. So we would up spending too much time dealing with that. There's not much to do on the Saugerties side of the Hudson so next time we'll stay on the other side (Rhinebeck, Kingston etc.).
