Casa de Cielo (Home in Heaven) is a luxury condo in the Amapas neighborhood with panoramic views of the ocean, town and rooftops of this beautiful city. A ten-minute walk brings you to the beach, shops and restaurants of PV’s charming Zona Romantica. Featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with locally hand-crafted hardwood and stone furniture, and an open concept fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar. White walls and artist painted wall murals accent the simple elegant décor. A large marble dining table seats six. Each bedroom has a beautifully draped four poster queen size canopy bed. The living room features comfortable seating and a large stone topped coffee table. The greenery filled balcony seats four at a table perfect for alfresco dinner or drinks and provides a front row seat for Vallarta’s nightly fireworks. Fiberoptic cable ensures reliable internet service. Casa de Cielo is located in a nine unit building just above the sparkling grand piano shaped pool just steps from our door. Beach towels are provided. If you are combining work and play, a desk and chair await although wireless wifi throughout means you can work from anywhere in the condo. Along with zoned air conditioning there are ceiling fans in every room and all windows and doors open to allow cross ventilation. Because there is no elevator, guests do need to be able to manage stairs. Incredible view of the city & bay.

Condo as shown in the photograph’s. Met all of our needs for location, space & amenities. Staff & owner available for any of our questions or needs. Only con was music from neighboring motel/bar which owner responded by saying neighbors were working with owner of motel/ bar to tone down the noise level. Otherwise everything was more than perfect.

Beautiful apartment and view!

This is a great apartment. We went with two couples and the space is perfect to interact but also have your own space. The owners have furnished the apartment well and they have left food staples so that you don't have to buy everything. Paty the property manager and Martha the staff were both very helpful. Be aware that there are stairs to get to the unit and there is no avoiding it. For us it was a good workout each day, but if you can't do stairs, this is not the place for you.

Relaxing, convenient, very comfortable, I would stay again.

The condo overlooks the bay and is a short walk down to the beach, the malecon, the old city and to wonderful restaurants and shopping. It is a steep walk back up to the condo, but taxis are available everywhere and for about three dollars US you can get a ride to the top entrance and walk downstairs to the condo. The pool shown in the photo is one floor below the balcony. We usually went for swims twice a day, and lazed on the decks for hours. The pool and deck were cleaned frequently. The condo was very comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well stocked and I very much enjoyed cooking many meals during our three week stay. The bedrooms are very comfortable however the second bedroom is quite bright throughout the night. The local manager of the property and the cleaning lady were both very helpful. We would stay at this condo again.

Great Condo, pool in the shade always, and not for people with handicaps.

My mother has a walker. The only thing I new and I asked is that there was no elevator. But what we did not know is that we had to go down 4 flights of stairs to get to the condo which has an amazing view. Also, we did not know but there is no sunshine at all reflecting on the pool. The pool is always in the shade. When looking for a condo we want a pool. We were not able to swim in the pool. We always had to go to the beach.

Amazing!!

I loved everything about this property! The amenities were great, and everything comfortable and clean. The kitchen was a great size, and had everything we needed. The help we received from the owner, and the house manager Paty, was fast (not that we needed much - everything was great!). The location was perfect and the views from the condo were spectacular! We were a little concerned at first that it would be a long hike into town, but thanks to some back stairs, it was really fast! 10 minutes to the beach or town. I highly recommend this property. You won't regret it. I'm definitely looking forward to my next stay!

Mexican Charm

This condo overlooks the Romantic Zone with great views of the city and bay. It is an older unit but is well maintained and is very clean. Plenty of towels, dishes, cooking utensils etc. We cooked many meals in the full sized kitchen. It is located on a hill above old town but is only a short 5-10 minute walk to all the restaurants and shops. (There is a “secret” stairway that is a huge shortcut to town. ) The owners are very nice people who respond promptly to all emails and questions. Highly recommend this condo except for persons not able to negotiate stairs. One last thought, there is a small pool in the common area but be aware that the sun does not reach the pool at certain times of the year such as December. We simply walked to the beach for all the sun we needed.

Fantastic Stay at Casa de Cielo

This apartment is perfect for a fun getaway to Puerto Vallarta. The apartment is part of a complex and has great views over Puerto Vallarta. The deco is more traditional - but the living space is open and is comfortable for 4 people. The master bedroom has a great view, whereas the second bedroom faces inwards and is a little darker. Irene and team were very easy to deal with and friendly and professional. The apartment is not far from the center of Zona Romantica - the walk down is easy, but the walk up definitely has you doing stairs, but we didn't mind that. The apartment also has access to the communal pool. However, the pool area did not get direct sun - so we didn't use it. That could be a winter time issue, perhaps it gets sun in the summer. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and appreciated the flexibility of the hosts in checkin and checkout arrangements. Highly recommended!

Reach for the Stars

My husband and I had a wonderful time In PV. This condo was just like the pictures show and more. We really felt at home on our vacation. Loved the view of the ocean . In the evening a spectacular show of fireworks. Close enough to the shopping and dining area, but far enough away for the peacefulness of PV. We even enjoyed the challenge of climbing the many stairs to the condo. Patti greeted us and helped us off. Great lady. Hope to be back.

Excellent stay

My wife and I and our close friends stayed here for a week and had an amazing time. The highlight of every evening was to enjoy the incredible view while we recounted the days events. The condo itself had everything we needed and the property manager Patti was excellent. While it did take awhile to get hot water, and there wasn't quite enough if all four of us wanted to have a shower, it was really a minor issue. The corner store and beer store were literally minutes away, and restaurants were 10 minutes walking. The stairs weren't an issue for us but if you do have problems with stairs, taxis are only 50 - 60 pesos from restaurant Road. Because we stayed at the beginning of March, we did only have sun at the pool from 9:30 to 12:30 but were told by the other longer term vacationers (some really great people) that come April, the pool has full sun. Two things that would help would be more lounger chairs by the pool (only 4) and the addition of a cooking grill in the pool area. Other than that we had an amazing time and will be looking at booking here again.

Just returned from 6 weeks at Casa de Cielo and loved every minute. The condo is everything you see in the pictures and more. Was great having a washer & dryer, dishwasher and never having to haul water and ice to the condo because of the water purification system in the unit. Can't say how helpful Patty, the unit manager, was. She did everything from arrange taxi's to communicating with our cook. There are 100 steps to get from the condo to the street but very manageable. Only about a 10 minute walk to the beach or to the market for fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Have already committed to 8 weeks in 2017.

House in the heavens

My friend and I stayed at this wonderful condo over the Christmas/New Years holidays. The views are incredible over Puerto Vallarta and the bay. The pictures didn't do justice to the large airy condo, and beautiful terrace. We spent many nights with a bottle of wine on the terrace overlooking the city. When you open the immense sliding glass living room windows it's like you're sitting in the air over the city and bay. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes and utensils. The washer/dryer was very convenient to use. There are numerous stairs up from the highway to the condo, but my friend and I easily managed them, up to 3 times a day. The location up above Old Town PV was very convenient. I've been to Puerto Vallarta many times and this was the best condo I've stayed at by far.

Best decision we've made in a long time!

It was our tenth time in PV but all our usual rentals were full up. We found this place and thought we'd give it a try. Best decision we've made in a long time! This condo is spacious and beautifully decorated and you can't beat the view. It has lots of little touches -- double filtered tap water, efficient air conditioning, well appointed kitchen, nice little pool. The location is also very good, 5 minutes from Los Muertos beach and just across the highway from the best restaurant in town, Bistro Teresa. Most people wouldn't want to make the climb to the condo on foot -- 200 steps, give or take -- but it's only a $3.50 cab ride. A bonus is Paty, the helpful and friendly property manager, who's just a phone call away. And best of all . . . we paid $120 a night in high season! Try to find anything close to this quality for that price -- you can't!

Beautiful Casa

As you enter the condo you are greeted with the fantastic view of the Bay and the beach below. The condo is beautifully decorated, very spacious, has all the amenities , is close to old town and its many shops and restaurants, yet far enough away to be a quiet retreat in the hills. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

Casa de ceilo fantastic view

This condo has a superb view of the bay and city from the living room and patio. Perfectly located within walking distance to old town restaurants and bars and Los muertos beach. Taxis and local buses nearby. It was a lovely home for two couples for two weeks, in a very safe location. We absolutely loved it. Location and view, it has it all. The owner and property manager deal with any issues like Internet loss promptly. Absolutely I recommend it. Puerto Vallarata has so much to do and see.

Breathtaking View in Casa de Cielo

I loved every minute of the time that I stayed in this beautiful condo in the hills of Amapas. The view of Puerto Vallarta from the living room, balcony and master bedroom was magnificent. We could walk to and from town and the beach. I enjoyed going to Act II to see live theatre in the evenings and was home safe within 15 minutes. There are about 100 steps that lead to and from the condo and after being there for a week, I was in better physical shape than I have been in years. The place is clean and well kept. Patti the property manager was extremely helpful and was a phone call away. I look forward to returning to Casa de Cielo in the near future.

A Great Time in PVR

Wow! This place is perfect. It sits high up in the hills and the view is incredible day and night. We only saw one group of people during the last two days of our stay. We had the pool and pool area all to ourselves. Full sun from 9am - 4:30pm. The property manager, Paty is so nice and greeted us upon our arrival and walked us through all the amenities in the condo. She called once to check on us and was available anytime we called her to ask a question. The condo has everything you need for a home away from home. The beds are comfy and the air conditioning and ceiling fans were a blessing - it was in the 90's almost every day. The iPod dock was great and the wireless internet connection was strong and we had no issues at all. It was nice to have filtered water as well. The condo is very well maintained. There are small markets down the block to get some essentials you may need - coffee, cereal, fruit, tequila, etc. There are about 120 steps down to the road and then just a few blocks from the beach, shopping and restaurants. The pier is so cool at night and fun during the day. Like others mentioned, take a cab ($5 US) back at night, as the walk back is pretty tough even if you are in great shape. We found some great restaurants - la Dolche Vita, Argentina steak house, La Posta, Cuates y Cuetes (had breakfast here and cocktails at sunset), Langostinos - just to name a few. This was our 5th time in Puerto Vallarta and the first time we didn't stay at an all-inclusive resort. This was by far better than a resort. So much more to see. Irene (owner) was great responding to emails before and during our stay as well. I hope to come back to this house in heaven!

A Real Vacation

HomeAway Casa de Cielo is everything you could want on a vacation overlooking Banderas Bay and the charming town of Puerto Vallarta. We were greeted upon our arrival by a very nice gentleman who showed us around and made sure we were comfortable. He said “anything you need is just a phone call away” and he was right. Claudia, the Property Manager, was so gracious and checked up on us a few times just to make sure we were comfortable. The moment we walked into this lovely home, the artistic surroundings and spectacular views took our breath away. We vacationed with another couple. We found everything we needed to feel at home from salsa to classical music, playing cards, reading books, or just relaxing around the pool overlooking Banderas Bay, soaking in the rays, and enjoying the gentle breezes. Everywhere we looked was a feast for the eyes. The attention to detail in this beautiful home is incredible and you can feel the love and warmth it exudes. The location is perfectly situated so you not only enjoy the spectacular views but can simply walk down to town for shopping, terrific dining or go to the beach. But if you’re feeling lazy … a cab is always nearby to take you to your destination. We spent almost two weeks waking up to birds singing and drifting to sleep by the distant sounds of the ocean. Some days were spent dining under the palapa while frolicking in the pool and some days we’d go out. It was great to have the pool so near. Either way, we would always come back to relax, looking out at the nightlights of the city waiting for the fireworks from the pirate ship. We even had a masseuse come up to the condo on our last day and spoiled all of us with a poolside massage under the palapa . Now, that’s what we truly call a “vacation”!

Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Cielo was aptly named since it puts you at the top of the hill above the Tropicana Hotel (for anyone trying to get a sense of location). The view was spectacular and the enormous sliding windows made for a cool, open air environment while we entertained. As if we were on a huge patio while we were in the living room. Tons of towels and linens were on hand, an ipod docking station kept us jamming and even plenty of coffee for the coffee maker. The furnishings were really nice as well, not the typical PV fare and not super contemporary either. When we first arrived we thought, “oh my word how will we ever retrace that route on foot?” but then the property manager showed us a stairwell between the buildings. Having a secret passage way down to Hwy 200 and the beach was definitely key and super fast. There were easily 20 restaurants to choose from within a 5 minute walk which was key. Aside from maybe 3 other people I saw around the grounds during our stay I would have thought that nobody else lived in the building it was so quiet. So the pool was always available and the pool deck was scrubbed down every day. We loved it here and will definitely book Cielo for our next stay in PV!

I have traveled to Puerto Vallarta for over thirty five years - it is a very safe area where visitors are welcomed and valued. As soon as we walked into the condo we knew it had to be ours.....the view took our breath away and everything looked so comfortable and attractive, with furnishings perfect for a Mexican retreat. The back staircase by the pool is a unique shortcut, not generally available, down to the Zona Romantica, beach, restaurants, shopping, and downtown. We are located on a hill overlooking Banderas Bay, the town and the jungle - you will enjoy the fabulous view, different in every light
