Enjoy a good night's rest on a comfy king-size bed, and easy access to everything from this perfectly located home base just a few blocks from downtown Phoenix. This well-designed space is both functional and comfortable whether you're coming for the next weekend game, or setting up a welcoming home away from home during an extended trip for work or school. Features free off street parking; walking, biking, scooter distance to downtown; and all the amenities of home.
The space
A comfortable 10 inch king-sized memory foam mattress awaits you in the bedroom, and a queen-size memory foam sleeper sofa is also available in the living room. A Pack 'n Play and high chair are available upon request. The kitchen has spices, pots, pans, baking dishes, and utensils, and appliances include a full-sized refrigerator, full-size oven and stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, and blender. You have your own stacked washer and dryer accessible from your patio right off the bedroom.

You will have 1 parking spot available in the parking lot behind the building, accessible from the alley between Taylor and Polk Streets.

Note: if you are especially sensitive to noise, there is a fire station nearby so there are occasional sirens.

I'm originally from Iowa but spent 20 years piloting the KC-135 Stratotanker around the world in the US Air Force before I retired and lived in Florida and Texas before settling in Phoenix. I've lived all over the country along with stints of living overseas in Norway, Ghana, and Japan, and I hope to live and/or travel overseas even more extensively going forward. I speak Norwegian, French, Japanese, and a little bit of Russian, so if you speak any of those languages I'd be happy to chat!
I've been hosting stays since 2014 and have seen over1,000 guests come and go, primarily on Airbnb where I'm a Superhost. I've been in Phoenix since late 2021, and my plan is to maintain Phoenix as a homebase, while experimenting with a digital nomad lifestyle of traveling and learning new languages and cultures. For hobbies I enjoy working out, running, playing guitar and singing, languages, real estate investing, entrepreneurship, and meeting fascinating people from all over the world. Can't wait to meet you!
Why they chose this property
I LOVE being in downtown Phoenix. From here I have easy access to the airport, the stadiums, concert and festival venues, restaurants, nightlife, and Roosevelt Row. If you don't want to walk, you can find scooters for rent all around the neighborhood, or you can take a driverless Waymo taxi, or catch a ride with the plentiful Uber and Lyft drivers here. I am also within a block of a City Bus stop, and a few blocks from the Metro Valley Light Rail.
What makes this property unique
I have designed this space to be relatively simple, yet flush with all the amenities to make it feel like home, whether you are traveling for a few days or a few months. Comfort, and a modern functional style with a location right in the middle of things is what makes this space special.
