This property was really nice for our getaway. It is walking distance to everything in Beaufort, which made it very nice to be able to ditch the car for a few days. The cottage is very cozy and furnished with anything you might need. The host was very good at making sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely stay here again.
This beautiful carriage house is the perfect place for a couple or single traveler wanting to get the most out of their trip to Beaufort. We loved the walkability to excellent restaurants, shopping, the ferries, and other local sites. The property itself is so comfortable. Plus it's located in a lush backyard with shady trees and gorgeous landscaping in a side garden area. And Steve is the kind of host you wish you had at all your VRBOs - excellent communication! We'll definitely be back!
The carriage house was perfect for what we wanted & was very well appointed. Everything was clean, we had everything we needed in the kitchen to do a couple hours f breakfasts/lunches. It had a nice little screened in porch that overlooked the back of the main house and a beautiful garden where we enjoyed our coffee n the mornings and glass of wine before heading out for dinner. It was a lovely stay.
Very nice decor including a comfortable bed. Very pretty surrounding landscape. Very much enjoyed the screened in porch mornings and evenings. Easy walking to restaurants and shops.
Lovely place just a block from the harbor. Walking to shops, restaurants, and some history spots makes the visit so laid back and enjoyable! The ocean and aquarium nearby. A visit is highly recommended!

Wonderful stay. Great location. Narrow driveway. Steve was a great host. Overall 4.5 rating due to some ck in issues. Another guest went into my rental and not the one they had rented. Steve was very accommodating about the entire situation. I will rent again.
Very nice accommodations, and very close to restaurants and activities
We enjoyed our stay in Beaufort. The Carriage House was very clean and comfortable, and just a block from all the activities on Front Street. Steve was great to work with, very friendly and willing to provide extras if necessary.
This was our 3rd stay at this particular cottage, and our 6th stay with The Bishops. We are never disappointed. The Carriage House is perfect for a couple. It's only 2 blocks from the waterfront, but it feels private at the same time. It's always spotless when we arrive. Check in and check out instructions are simple and clear. Steve and Gail are lovely hosts! They have wonderful local recommendations for places to visit and restaurants.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House. Steve and Gail were wonderful hosts. The bed was really comfortable and the location was perfectly located. We were able to walk to everything. Highly recommend this place.
Very charming with an ideal location to downtown Beaufort. Hosts were wonderful.., arrived late to the carriage house with the lights on for our arrival. It was a perfect get away- lovely accommodations, good food from restaurants.., can not wait to return!
The property is really perfect for a weekend in Beaufort. It’s walkable to the water, shops, and restaurants. The owners were helpful and kind. I’ll definitely be back.
Thank you Steve and Gail, great hosts. The unique Carriage House is one that we will be back next year for our third stay. Only a 2-3 minute walk to Front Street and all the shops and restaurants in Beaufort.
