Amazing beach location! Sunset beach is a quiet, relaxing stretch of sand along the Gulf Coast and is a less crowded, non-commercial location but walking distance to restaurants, bars and shops. The home is located in a charming, quiet neighborhood with just a 2-minute walk to the beach! If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay in a beach-themed cottage, this is for you!
This home has a great layout: a large master with ample closet space and an en suite bathroom on the east side of the house, and 2 bedrooms (one queen, one with 2 twins) and a second full bath on the west side. In between is a large living room with plenty of seating and an open kitchen that has everything you need to enjoy your time away from home: dishes, utensils, cookware, bakeware, carafe / pod coffee pot, and all appliances, large and small. All bed linens, bath, and beach towels are included with your stay as well. Each bedroom has its own TV and there is a 60-inch TV in the living room.
Outdoors you will find a front porch where you can enjoy your morning coffee, or you can do so on the shaded back deck or the sunny upper deck. There is a gas grill as well as a laundry room on the deck. There is also a shed that has a beach wagon, multiple beach chairs, a cooler, beach toys, boogie boards, paddle board, 2 bikes, floats and more, all available for your use during your stay. There is also a driveway that can fit 2 cars.
What do I love most about this location? It is super quiet, but literally steps to the action. Right up the street, a 5-minute walk away, is the famous Caddy’s on the Beach with indoor and outdoor dining, 4 bars, chair rental and waiter service on the beach, cabanas and beach games. Across the street from that is Ka’ Tiki, a locals’ favorite in a massive tiki hut with indoor and outdoor seating and bar snacks. Additionally, within a 15-minute walk or short drive are other restaurants like Sea Dog, Shrimpy’s, Taco Bus and The Hippie Shack, all with beautiful views of the intracoastal. There is a Publix a mile away and a ton of additional restaurants and shops within a short drive. St. Pete Beach is just around the corner with all of the activities you could ever want, but you get to come home to peace and quiet! It’s also a short drive to downtown St. Petersburg, home of the Tampa Bay Rays, multiple museums and galleries, fine dining and fun breweries, and lots of live music and festivals. Also a short distance is John’s Pass in Madeira Beach where you can find all sorts of water sports, shops, restaurants, and fish markets.
I’m happy to answer any questions you may have prior to booking. This is my new winter home that I am looking to share with people who will enjoy a quaint, serene beach neighborhood. This area is full of lovely people who have welcomed me. If your vacation goals do not fit with a quiet, relaxing time, that’s great – but this isn’t the place for you. My number one goal is to be a respectful neighbor!
Also, I know how important reviews are when making a decision as to where to stay. You want to make sure your vacation is spent somewhere that is clean, is as advertised, and with a host who is responsive and accommodating. Given this is a new home for me, I encourage you to check out my other property, a condo in Indian Shores, where you can read my 90+ 5-star reviews.
