This is a great location for a get away! The hosts have so many comforts of home available and are amazing to work with. We could leave our boat in the lake attached to the dock which was so convenient to go out on the lake. The lake didn’t cooperate as much for fishing due to 2 fly hatches, but our fisherman caught enough for one good dinner. Our family of four used the cottage as a base for going to the Porcupine mountains, hiking to waterfalls, etc. It is about 40-60 minutes to some places but easy drives.
Decorated beautifully. Well equipped. Not comfortable as far as seating. Futon only furniture in living room area. Nothing to sit, put feet up and relax. Couldn’t control AC. Where ever we set the temp, it eventually revered to back controlled setting. Parking was not good. Every cabin has parking space for two vehicles. This one one allowed even though there was plenty or room. Had to park across the street.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the beautiful décor and found the cabin well equipped.
We do want to clarify a few points for future guests. The photos in the listing accurately represent the cabin and the furnishings provided. We understand that seating preferences vary, and we appreciate your feedback regarding the living room furniture.
We accommodated an early check-in when you arrived several hours before your scheduled check-in time, so you could access the cabin early and settle in.
The A/C is not Wi-Fi controlled, and we do not have any presets. It was operating properly and worked great for us on the day of your check-in.
Prior to your arrival, you told us you would have one vehicle, and you parked that in front of the cabin for the duration of your stay. The expectation regarding parking trailers in the private parking area across the street was included in the message sent to you several days before check-in.
We did not hear from you at any point during your stay regarding these concerns. Had we been made aware of any issues, we would have been happy to address them and do what we could to make your stay more comfortable.
We appreciate your stay and your feedback, and we hope this provides some additional clarification for future guests.
We had a wonderful stay at this property! The home was exceptionally clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable visit. The boat docks were a huge plus—easy to access, sturdy, and perfect for keeping our boat during our stay. Fishing was excellent, with convenient access right from the property. The owners clearly take pride in providing a great experience for their guests. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with great boating and fishing opportunities.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Overall, the stay was negative. What I experienced was very different from what I expected. Here are the pros and cons of our stay. The pros: The cabin is cozy and well furnished. All appliances worked. Was furnished with utensils and bedding. If you are just visiting, this place would be for you. The Wi-Fi was good. The cons:Needs bullet-point instructions for check-in. Instead, they send you a dissertation. They won’t tell you anything over the phone; you must read their instructions. They weren’t the premier host I expected. The router got unplugged; they blamed us for it. Have no idea how it got unplugged. The front door is a digital handle, and it locks behind you. The boat landing is horrible, and I wouldn’t launch a canoe from it.The boat lifts are private, and you can secure your boat to a dock. Anyone who has been on Lake Gogebic wouldn't leave their boat tied up overnight because of the high winds and waves. The pictures are deceiving. The additional parking shown in the pictures is on the other side of Highway 64!! You must park your boat trailer, and you can park your vehicle only in front of the cabin. Or you can park your truck and trailer across the road. The logistics of getting your gear back and forth were frustrating. Also, any avid fisherman has a lot of money invested in their setup, and you cannot monitor your boat sitting across the road. There is no power on the other side of the road. Between fishing days, I pulled my boat with my truck

Thank you for recognizing that the cabin was cozy, well furnished, and supplied with the necessary appliances, utensils, bedding, and reliable Wi-Fi.
We are sorry the property did not meet your expectations; however, we would like to clarify several points. Detailed check-in instructions, including the door code, were sent days before arrival. When you had difficulty locating the code in the message, we spoke with you by phone and walked you through the message multiple times.
Before your stay, we also discussed the boat launch and explained that it had recently been damaged by a fallen tree. Thankfully, there are two public boat launches located within two miles of the cabin.
The boat lifts are private, and no boat lift was ever advertised as being available for guest use. Guests may secure their boats to the dock or remove them from the water based on weather conditions and their personal preference.
The Wi-Fi was working properly at check-in. When service was later interrupted, you discovered that the router had been unplugged accidentally. When you plugged the router back in, internet service was restored. Our intention was simply to resolve the issue, not to place blame.
The listing and photographs accurately show the cabin, amenities and the parking arrangements. The parking was discussed in both of our conversations prior to your arrvial as well. This designated parking area is private property for our guests’ use, and a trailer lock could have been used during your stay if security was a concern. We understand this arrangement may not be ideal for every guest which is why we encourage guests to review the listing details and ask questions before booking.
We make every effort to provide clear information, responsive assistance, and a comfortable stay. We regret that the property was not the right fit for your specific boating and parking needs.
Excellent in every way! Location, furnishings, well-equiped kitchen, cleanliness, well cared for, excellent local information - all above and beyond! Host was super to work with and responsive. A superb experience!
We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely book this property again! The location was perfect—great view of the lake, ample trailer parking and easy access to get on the lake to access snowmobile trails. The cabin itself was great — clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It also had good internet and a smart tv to watch any shows we wanted. One of the highlights of our stay was the host’s communication. Jackie reached out to me directly and provided ample information about the cabin, the area and even the trail conditions. Throughout the trip both Jackie and Jeremy were available to answer any and all questions!Overall, this was a wonderful experience. Great location, clean and comfortable accommodations, great parking for trailers, and an outstanding host—we couldn’t have asked for more! Highly recommend.
We always love visiting Lake Gogebic! Our favorite place to stay is Sunnyside! We were so pleased with the cabin, fishing and bald Eagle watching! We can’t wait to plan our stay next year!
Beautiful little cabin on the lake with a great view and Firepit. Very clean. Perfect for a getaway in the middle of many attractions. Definitely would stay again!
We loved the lake and the porcupine mountains hiking. The cabin had everything we needed and the communication with the owners was excellent. We had a great time!
