About this property
Bears Den Lakefront Home Near Acadia
Bears Den is a large, rustic, kid-friendly home on a 9 mile long lake called Toddy Pond. Just 40 ft from the water, you’ll have privacy, stunning sunsets, a dock & swim raft, kayaks, canoe, and tennis court! Huge wraparound deck the length of the home - great for grilling, sunbathing, meals, drinks, naps and stargazing. Tree swing set, hammock. Huge easily accessed boulder on the water provides incredible views. Enjoy all that nature offers. Close to Acadia National Park, Deer Isle & Blue Hill.

Bears Den faces west - the sunsets are incredible!
Whether staying for a long weekend or an entire week our guests routinely report Bears' Den to provide one of their most treasured experiences away from home.
Bears' Den is a bright, spacious, and airy home with a summer camp feel.
While many of our regular guests find they rarely leave our property, our home serves as an excellent base for ventures to Acadia, Deer Isle, Blue Hill or many other points.
Our home is not insulated or heated (other than two fireplaces). Some spring and fall days—and particularly nights—can be chilly in this part of Maine. Most of our spring and fall guests find bundling up a bit in the morning and evening a small concession to experience the beauty and tranquility of this secluded lake setting.
Three families can usually share our home fairly easily, especially if some kids share the 'bunk room.'
