The Hogg-Anderson House
Welcome to the Historic Hogg-Anderson House! The Hogg-Anderson house is in one of the best locations for everything in Downtown Wilmington! Free parking is included. We have a private gravel lot behind the house. We are one block to the river and the award-winning riverwalk, and across the street from Bakery 105! You are also within walking distance of all the museums, shops, restaurants, and nightlife.
The house itself offers plenty of living space. The cozy living room opens to the fully updated kitchen which has a large island and plenty of seating space. Off the entry there's a huge dining table perfect for a nice evening meal in. The 3 bedrooms are all good size. One has a king bed, one a queen, and the other two twin beds. There are many historical touches throughout the house including numerous fireplaces and mantles. You'll love your stay in this historic gem in downtown!
You have access to the entire main house. We have a guest apartment we rent separately in the cellar of the home its own entrance from the back of the house. Please note that this is a multi story house and stairs are required for access.

After your reservation is confirmed, you'll receive a link with simple instructions to complete this process prior to arrival. A security deposit will be required through SafeGuest.
Check-In & Check-Out Check-in begins at 4:00 PM, and check-out is 10:00 AM. These times allow our cleaning team the opportunity to thoroughly prepare the home for each guest. During our busy summer season (Memorial Day through Labor Day), we are generally unable to accommodate early check-ins or late check-outs from Friday through Sunday due to tight turnover schedules. During the week, we are happy to check availability within 24 hours of arrival or departure. When accommodations are possible, a fee of $25 per hour applies for early arrivals or late departures.
A Note About Coastal Wildlife One of the joys of the coast is being surrounded by nature. Our area is home to a variety of local insects, including spiders, ants, and palmetto bugs, particularly during warmer months. The home receives regularly scheduled professional pest control treatments, but occasional sightings can still occur despite our best efforts. If you encounter any concerns during your stay, please let us know and we'll gladly arrange additional treatment if needed. Seeing native insects will not be grounds for a cancellation or refund.
Television & Streaming While this property does not offer cable service, smart TVs or Rokus are available for you to access your favorite streaming platforms using your personal accounts. Please remember to log out before departure, or remotely through your streaming service if needed.
Cleanliness Our housekeeping team takes great pride in preparing the home for every guest, however everyone is human. If anything doesn't meet your expectations upon arrival, please let us know as soon as possible so we can address it promptly and help ensure you have a comfortable stay.
Respect for Our Neighborhood This home is located in a residential community, and we kindly ask guests to be mindful of our neighbors. Quiet hours are between 10:00pm and 7:00am each day. Parties and events are not permitted in accordance with platform policies. Excessive noise or unauthorized gatherings may result in the reservation being terminated without refund.
Travel Insurance We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your vacation investment from unexpected events. Reservations and cancellations are handled according to the cancellation policy selected at booking, and we are unable to modify reservation dates within 30 days of arrival.
Location Information One of the best parts of this location is its convenient access to nearby restaurants, shops, and attractions. As a result, you may occasionally hear sounds associated with downtown living, including pedestrians, vehicle traffic, or aircraft overhead. Most guests find the area pleasantly active without being overly noisy.

I enjoyed my stay at this beautiful place the communication with the host was excellent we had a issue with the Air conditioner due to thunderstorms we had the night we got there and the host handled it professionally and fast and it was very clean and cozy everything you need for a great stay
I was transported back to my childhood in historic Parker county and the city of Weatherford TX. I loved the history and then the thought of all the people who had travelled through. Wonderful stay in a historic home. Gorgeous!
Great stay! The house was as advertised (though note that the room with two beds doesn't have a door, just curtains). We noticed a small issue in the kitchen (it didn't impact our stay) and the property managers were responsive. This is an excellent location, incredibly clean, and we'd highly recommend it!
Lovely property within walking distance to anything you'd want or need. Communication was easy and they were very accommodating. Will absolutely stay again!
We celebrated our 30th anniversary in Wilmington and this house was the perfect place to stay! It’s beautiful, spacious, and you can’t beat the location! We walked everywhere and had the best time! Would definitely stay there again!
Excellent stay in this beautiful home. Great location within walking distance to shops and eateries. Beautiful back courtyard with flowering shrubs. Communication from the host was excellent and efficient. Hope to be back for another visit soon.
We love Wilmington and rarely stay downtown. This was so convenient to River Walk, restaurants and shopping. The house was very comfortable! We would definitely stay again. It was a pleasure to have parking too! Communication with management was fast and clear.
Thank you.
We loved the Hogg-Anderson House. It was so close to everything in downtown Wilmington. We were so happy to choose this location and this house. The historic charm of the house exceeded my expectations. We loved walking everywhere and not needing to drive anywhere except when we went to the nearby beach. We utilized the 2nd-floor porch overlooking the town where saw the most amazing sunsets. The three large bedrooms and baths met our needs and were all very large. We couldn't have picked a better house to stay in.
Perfect location for a Wilmington trip. We only got in the car once to go to the beach, otherwise we just walked everywhere- so easy. Conveniently located near coffee shops, restaurants, shops, bars, etc. Beautiful historic home right in the center of it all. Great communication with the owners, as well. Highly recommend.
