During ski season, there is a shuttle that will take you directly to the slopes, and during the summer, white water rafting and zip lining will fill your afternoons. Additionally, the resort boasts a heated pool, a hot tub, a fitness room, and a dry and wet sauna.

Surrounded by mesmerizing views of Grandfather Mountain, the interior of your condo showcases a custom design and comfortable furnishings. The sunny living room comes complete with soft seating, a large TV, and a wood-burning fireplace.

The well-equipped kitchen features a suite of stainless steel appliances and gleaming countertops. When you're ready to eat, gather at the adjacent formal dining table.

Both of the bedrooms have been carefully curated for your comfort with their homey fixtures and plush linens. To round out the stellar interior amenities, appreciate having access to a private washer/dryer - refresh and repeat another day in paradise!

During any high peak time, renters have to park in the lower lots and be shuttled up to the top. Guests are allowed to load and unload at the building before parking in the lower lots if they prefer, especially during high peak times and holidays. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Fourth of July, Highland Games, Willy worm festival, Land of Oz. Parking up top is for owners or with approval from Sugar Top Resort. Sugar Top Resort makes these decisions based on the occupancy.

Make sure internet is working as support didn’t fix after contacting them. Double check the cleanliness as we found shaved hair on floor and all over toilet seat. Otherwise the unit was well decorated and views were great.

Mountain memories

Great place to stay and play in the snow (sugar mountain slopes right near by). Parking is a challenge but other than that it’s amazing. Has a little bit of the shining vibes when it snows and you feel like if the roads closed and you were stuck anything could happen. We had a blast. Thanks

We just spent a long weekend at this property to escape the heat of the summer and were so happy! The building was easy to find and access, the unit was well equipped and very clean! The view from the balcony is GORGEOUS. Even in an actual late July heatwave we did not miss the air conditioning (they provide a couple of fans and the open windows let in a lovely breeze). Located near lots of attractions. The parking situation was a bit of a pain but the shuttle was practically immediate. The pool was closed for maintenance on our first night but opened the next and was so nice and clean. Kids pool toys provided! Thank you so much for such a perfect getaway.

This home photographs lovely and the layout is very accommodating. Points of note are:1. The briefly mentioned shuttle closes at 11. If you have to check in late and it has snowed, you may have to walk up the mountain with your bags. You also need a phone number to call them. 2. This unit does not have *hot water. It gets warm at best. We only had two guests brave a shower the entire visit. 3. The pull out couch isn't for adult bodies. It has a very thin mattress and is uncomfortable. 4. Extra pillows were in closets but on the floor and not in a bag or anything to keep them clean. There was a lot of missed dust on floors behind nightstands etc. 5. The baking sheets were neglected. Some of the updates are falling apart such as the tile on the table and cabinet falling above fridge. 6. They were more than 8 daytime hours responding to a question about pool towels (not provided) where I mentioned we were not checking in until around 11. All that considered, this condo is quiet, has plenty of actual space for a group of 6, room to put your items away, and great views. It is very convenient to the slopes but check on days/times for shuttles to slopes. Their rules and check-out requirements are minimal.

The home was clean and decorated beautifully. We loved the view from the balcony and slept great in the comfy beds. We visited in the off season so parking wasn’t an issue. We were able to park right behind the building and not take the shuttle. Overall it was a great place to stay.

Awesome property!

We stayed at Sugar top several times in the past, but we enjoyed this unit by far the most. This spacious nicely remodeled unit has everything you need, kitchen is very well equipped, every room has a tv, there is a functional fire place, the views are stunning. The resort has a nice swimming pool, two hot tubs and two saunas (unfortunately this time, not working during our stay).

A+ Mountain experience

Having never been in this part of NC, we were surprised to see how high up in the mountains this condo is! The views from the unit were amazing, there is really nothing like it. We hope to visit again in the winter and see the snowy side of things. The unit is stocked with everything you could think of, we were able to cook dinner two nights and they have all the gadgets and cookware you would need. There are grocery stores really close if staying in is more of your thing or more in your budget. We enjoyed the pool and some puzzles and games that are available in the unit. We visited the trail on Grandfather mountain and also drove to Boone which is close by. The staff is very friendly and helpful!

terrible experience with Vacasa

This was my third stay at Sugar Top. The other two times I stayed directly with the owner, who by the way is very nice. This time I came with Vacasa and the experience was horrible. I was very disappointed when I entered the apartment and immediately smelled a horrible smell of food and soon I found a lot of dirt around the apartment. Everything was dirty and poorly cleaned. It looked like they hadn't cleaned it in ages. The kitchen was the worst part, full of grease dripping down the cabinets and the stove inside the drawers. All dirty. The dishes are all disorganized and all mixed up and you can't find anything. They left the washing machine smelling of dishes. The bathrooms are full of hair. The toilets have feces. The kitchen sink drain is full of sludge. The bed linens are dirty and stained with dirt. I contacted Vacasa and nothing was done to solve my problem. I paid a lot for the daily rates in the apartment to find what I found. Not to mention that the sofa is already so old and dingy and the bed in the master bedroom is horrible. Anyway, I don't recommend Vacasa because they don't maintain their units. But other than that, Sugar Top is a place blessed by God. and I will continue coming here but never with Vacasa
