About this property

Peaceful, quaint cabin on Big Wolf Lake in Lewiston

Our cabin is the perfect getaway for anyone who is looking for a relaxing trip. We are situated on a large lot on Big Wolk Lake which is a non-sport lake. We have a nice new deck which is perfect for having meals outside with the family and also have a fire pit for the evening bonfires. We also have a rowboat and a canoe that is available to all guests. We have a full kitchen with all of the essentials needed. We also have a weber grill for your use and have charcoal available. We do have some firewood but ask that if you use an excessive amount you be courteous to the next guest and replace some of it. We have just added a 16x19 addition giving you more space to enjoy yourself. This area has a55” smart tv and a gas fireplace as well.

We had a great week at the Cypher Cabin on Big Wolf Lake! The cabin is well stocked, the fishing was great, and the lake is very peaceful with no motorboats or jet skis. We brought our own trolling motor and used the provided rowboat every day. It was just right to get us to the good fishing spots (which is almost everywhere). We had a couple questions during our stay and the hosts were very quick to respond and very accommodating! There’s also plenty to do in Lewiston just 5 minutes away. We raced go-carts, played mini golf, and had some great food. My 4 year old loved the beach on East Twin Lake. The Cons: There is no A/C, however there were 3 fans and multiple ceiling fans that kept everything circulating pretty well with the screen doors open. The worst part was the odor from the dumpster sitting out front by the road. It stunk when we got there and never got emptied the whole week we were there.Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again! For the fishing enthusiasts - an 1/8oz mepps in orange, white, or firetiger caught everything from 24” northern to 3lb largemouth to 10” bluegill. Frogging was pretty good too!

Great stay

Stayed for the weekend two adults and one child and a newborn, great stay for a family for all ages. Safe place for all ages. Recommend and would stay again, bedroom is very tight with dresser but all in all it’s a fantastic place to book a weekend at.

Got in very late, the address when you open it in Apple Maps takes you to the neighbors but we figured it out! Very clean, very cute, and cozy. We plan to rent this cabin again when we make another trip up!

Lewiston trip

Peaceful and quaint is just one of many wonderful qualities about this property. The cabin is adorable, clean and fully stocked with everything you need. We had such a great time, we utilized the lake in the provided boat, relaxed on the deck, had a fire, and made so many great memories. Owners were informative and kind, check in was effortless. I would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again.

Comfy Cabin in the Woods

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was very clean and neat, and the kitchen was well-stocked. Nice amenities in both the kitchen and bathroom. The location is convenient to town and numerous lakes. We loved sitting outside, enjoying the peace and quiet, and gazing at the lake. Easy check-in, and quick, helpful communication with the hosts. Highly recommended!

Lovely cottage

Loved the peaceful feeling, the wildlife, and the charming cottage. It was the best stocked Vrbo home we have been in, which was very nice. Jeri was easy to personally communicate with, as well. Would like to come back!

We loved how cozy it was. So comfortable beautiful views easy aaccess to Town and Tallys. Very welcoming. And to top it all off we saw an osprey as we were leaving.

Best of Both Worlds

Adorable little cabin w/the charm and coziness of a "Cabin Up North"....then you walk into the BEAUTIFUL addition which gives you the modern comforts and feel of 5 a resort.Unfortunately Mother Nature prevented us from utilizing the amazing newly constructed deck overlooking Big Wolf Lake. VERY NICE!!!Will definitely visit again if visiting the Lewiston area

Had a great time! Cabin was super cute. All was good. The only thing we wished we would have had access to more towels. There was only 3 in cabin. So another set of towels would have been nice. We made do. We utilized the back deck, fire pit and fished. Fishing was a big hit and multiple 17-20 inch bass were caught. A lot of bluegill as well.

Not exactly clean

The pros: very quiet, lots of wildlife, pretty view, loved hearing the loons on the lake and the owls. Nice deck and dock. The kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Now the Cons: When I first walked in the smell of room deodorizer overwhelms you, but after opening the doors for a breeze you can see it is used to cover up the underlying smell of Campfire smoke that is embedded in the furniture. The couch and ottoman were so stained and disgusting I wanted to walk out, luckily we had brought blankets and beach towels that we could cover them so we could sit. The bunk room had ants. The "lake" is not really usable from their end. Couldn't canoe or boat as it was too shallow. Couldn't fish either. Couldn't swim, it was nothing but weeds and lily pads. The place is kind of run down, peeling paint, water damage. Wanted to watch the meteor showers but couldn't because there is a huge spotlight that comes on at night and shines over the entire property and washed out the starlight. We ended up leaving early.

Gosh I am very sorry you had such an unpleasant stay. We have never had any complaints such as this. I truly wish you would have contacted us regarding your issues. Further to my response that I posted a couple days ago. We just got up to our cabin to try and assess all of the things that you complained about and first of all just so you know none of the furniture is stained. What you were seeing on the couch? Are the shadows from the flowers That are on the couch. Also, I do not see one stain on the Ottoman. I will say that the carpet got stained up this summer and that’s most likely due to people wearing their shoes inside which we asked people not to. Also, I have no control over a Neighbor coming outside without a shirt on. As for our lake, we do indicate that this is a non-sport lake, which means it is shallow and no, it is not suitable for swimming and nowhere in our listing. Do I say it is. Again, I’m very sorry you had a bad experience however we are very proud of our Piece of heaven that we have up north just as others describe it.
