Overall a cute place and close to the beach. One bedroom had no A/C and the ceiling fan didn’t work and no outlet in the bathroom. The door to the patio was very difficult to close. The second shower in the other bedroom was hard to regulate the temperature of the water. The unit was very clean and cute. There weren’t enough towels for three people for the time we were there.

Cute little apartment right in the heart of Capitola. We only stayed there one night, but loved it. Only thing was that certain parts of the apartment were very dirty. The showers were dirty, and the floors were disgusting. All of our feet were black after walking on it. There was also a lot of dust everywhere. That really is our only complaint. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay! We had to park a bit farther. Maybe a 7 minute walk away, but that’s not bad. I mean, it’s a little beach town. Parking is first come first serve. Wish we could’ve had an earlier check in time. That’s all!

The place was perfect for the 4 of us. I do not recommend for children under 5 due to not much room between getting to other rooms without passing by the steep stairs well or those who are unable to climb stairs or over 6 feet tall due to the shower size. We got lucky with the parking but it is a pain. I would stay here again.

The location of the home is ideal for walking to restaurants, shopping and the beach. Parking was a challenge, but once you have a space you are good to walk anywhere you need to go for the most part. The home was pet friendly and everything was close for our bulldog who cannot venture too far in the warm weather. The place was clean and comfortable, but a little tight on space. The showers were in a different room all together from the toilets which was a bit awkward but ultimately not a big deal. Overall it was a great place to stay and the family enjoyed it very much.

Parking was on the street but right outside our unit, very safe! Unit was very accommodating, communication with the host was great! Condo was darling with huge cumfy beds! Location was perfect, we didn't get back in the car until it was time to leave! We dinned at The Paradise Grill, Margaritaville and Shadowbrook, all highly recommended!

Capitola Bungalow

The location of this property was perfect for us. The unit is quirky and charming. The showers are iffy, very small and finding the right water temperature was a challenge.

Super cute and cozy

We loved the space - the owners definitely made the most out of a very small space. The apartment is beautiful, well stocked with everything you need for a stay, and right by the beach. The only issue we had was that it was a little crowded - and bathrooms were tiny. Might be difficult for someone tall or wide to navigate.

Wonderful location close to the beach and downtown shopping, restaurants and coffee spots. Challenging to find parking nearby on busy weekends, but persistence will pay off. Only cleanliness issue encountered was a towel used by previous guest still hanging in bathroom. Otherwise, VERY clean and pleasant. Two showers were small, but not difficult to regulate like some comments state. I would return!!

Great stay in Capitola

The property is spotless; parking was easy with the permit. It was and short and pleasant walk to the beach and many restaurants and boutiques. It was fun to hangout on the private balcony and take in the sights! There were also interesting views from every window; I could watch the sunrise over the nearby cliffs. The neighbors were also very friendly. And since I was "working from home" while staying there I was happy that the internet was very fast and good for zoom meetings. Highly recommend!

Weekend at the beach

Loved our stay there. Very much matched the description, and was right in the middle of Capitola Village. Everything was an easy walk, including the beach, and made for a very nice beach weekend getaway for us. The space was small, the showers and bathrooms especially, so if you're looking for supreme luxury there's a slight miss there. But, the payoff is great proximity at a great rate. And the bedrooms, family room, and porch were excellent places to hang out with plenty of space and comforts. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and we all agreed, kids included, we definitely want to stay here again!

It may be quaint but not user friendly. The steps are steep, the layout is confusing. The bathrooms are tiny, the sinks were clogged and tiny, the showers were tiny. We were able to negotiate a refund from the owner for a portion of our stay.

Cold showers — unreliable hot water.Stayed 2 nights while in town for a funeral. Disappointed to not have basic needs met and made stay very stressful in an already difficult time. The WORST part — No assistance available, no helpful or timely response to vrbo messages. No phone numbers or direct contact available with listing — I found that on my own. Called OVR property mgmt company— which is a call center in Phillipines designed to be non-responsive. Could not resolve issue in timely way or in real time. Multiple promises of that ‘someone will call you shortly’ but never was called.Shower in bedroom off the sitting area with minimal water pressure, even if there had been hot water, it’s like a few teeny sprays coming out — you would need a long time to actually wet your whole body. It is basically a ridiculous attempt at a shower. The other shower is actually in the kitchen, so not private if you are in a mixed party of people, just awkward and weird. Bathroom/toilets are closets so small you can barely move or turn around. No amenities in the kitchen - barely basics and no creamer for coffee. Other than the good location —800 for 2 nights definitely not worth it. O’Neal Vacation Rentals should be ashamed of this as a business practice. They are clearly not interested in ensuring a quality guest experience nor providing assistance.

Review of Park Pl Unit B

We enjoyed our location, and the permit for parking, the fans, kitchen, tvs, towels and linen, and comfortable beds. It would be good to have information up front about the showers (one doesn’t work and the other takes forever to get hot, at a counter intuitive faucet position, only told to us after trying to reach an ONeil rep and waiting to hear back). Also, we never got hot water in the kitchen sink. The internet connection went out, so that affected tv Netflix one day. Not sure if that’s Park Pl or internet orovider. But overall, we enjoyed our time. Thank you.

Beyond awful !!

I arrived at the property at check in and residence was not cleaned. I reached out to management and was told "let me see IF I can get someone out there" Upon my fit, I was relocated, but the replacement property had no parking any where close. After a melt down, I was partially refunded. The conclusion did not match the debacle. I planed this trip for weeks, I took vacation time, I drove 3/1/2 hour there only to be turned around and drive 4 1/2 hours home. Wasting a vacation day, 80. in fuel and little concern for the extreme inconvienance and disappointment this caused. The rest of my money has to be refunded. No compensation was offered and very little concern about the situation was offered. What was not known to management company was that I am a recent widow and this trip was an attempt at rebuilding my life and finding my way with out my spouse. Instead of a relaxing trip, it was a nightmare. Had the management company been symathetic, offered more than "let me see if I can get someone out there" or relocating me to a residence that did not even offer the ability to unload was salt in my wounds.

You can’t beat the location! It has great access to all the shops and beach and the parking permit allows you to park and walk during your stay. The layout is definitely funky but the description was accurate and exactly as we expected. We were three people for two nights so it served us very well. More than four would be a tight squeeze. The shower stalls are very tight as well so important to keep this in mind if you need extra room. The hosts were communicative and check-in/check-out procedures were very helpful. We truly enjoyed ourselves and would rent again if our travels bring us back to Capitola!
