About this property

Cozy guest suite in Whitefish. Private countryside living 1 mile to downtown!

Come enjoy our cozy, fully-furnished 1 bedroom apartment, only a mile from downtown Whitefish! With a private entrance and windows that look out to open fields, the location is secluded and peaceful but still close enough to get to the action in minutes. The space is perfect for those looking for a memorable getaway to the mountains, lake, or any of the many nearby trails. High speed wifi and a desk tucked away in the living room make it perfect for those needing to stay connected as well!

The guest quarters are on the second floor, and attached to the main house above the garage. None of the walls are shared with any other living space. The balcony off the bedroom has a view toward Glacier National Park, and the living room has a TV and electric fireplace for a cozy night in. The two couches can also be converted to twin beds to sleep an extra guest or two.
Essential items such as shampoo, soap, towels, linens, and kitchen supplies are provided.

If you are interested in garage parking and/or EV charging - we can usually accommodate this! Please let us know while booking.

We live on site (in the main house) and will be available for any questions or other needs that arise, but the rental unit has a private entrance with keypad lock so you have the freedom to come and go without any interaction.

Attentive Hosts
The property is perfectly located and appointed. The pasture views from the windows are very peaceful and make the vrbo experience better than a hotel. Importantly, the hosts were very communicative and responsive.

Wonderful place
We arrived and were immediately impressed with the property. Right across the street from a hay field and beautiful barn. Deer were in the front yard and the clean fresh air was amazing. The apartment had everything we needed, even Bear spray (which we did not need.)

About the host

Host profile image
My husband Brady and I were both raised in small agricultural towns in California - him a couple hours north of Sacramento and me a bit north of the LA area. After college, we both ended up in the San Francisco Bay Area and we met through some mutual work friends. Though we enjoyed living in the Bay Area for about a decade, we hoped to find a smaller town and slower pace of life. We started visiting whitefish around 2015 since one of our great friends is from here. After years of visiting and enjoying countless adventures, Big Mountain ski days, and long summer nights we finally moved in 2020. We fell in love with the Whitefish through our visits here and hope to allow our guests to do the same. We have been using our in-law unit for short term rentals since we moved and enjoy providing an opportunity for our guests to conveniently access all that Whitefish has to offer.

Why they chose this property

We absolutely love the area we are located. At home, we feel a million miles from town with acres of pastures surrounding us and views towards the mountains. Yet in actuality, we are only a mile from downtown. We often enjoy walking or biking to downtown, city beach, or just meandering along the nearby river trail. All amenities including grocery and a laundromat are also only about a mile away.

What makes this property unique

We think we have one of the best locations! It is quiet and peaceful- providing a true Montana country feel while still being conveniently located to everything Whitefish has to offer. The guest house is spacious and bright with everything you need to enjoy your Whitefish vacation.
