Getaway with girlfriends
High Hopes was an amazing place for my friends and I to enjoy a wonderful weekend in Blowing Rock. The proximity to downtown, hiking trails, and The Blue Ridge Parkway was unbeatable! Linda has done an amazing job paying attention to all of the little details that make staying away so comfortable!

We had high hopes for High Hopes. We were not disappointed.
The house was beautifully decorated with a mix of contemporary (comfy , large sofas) and traditional furniture. It had a feel of the mountains, but not over done. Very spacious feeling house. Lots of natural light. Bedrooms and beds were totally comfortable, especially loved the king bed bedroom and the adjoining bathroom. So pretty!. Loved cooking in the well equipped kitchen.... it had everything needed for serving up dinner to our large crowd. We really enjoyed relaxing on the large deck. We are night owls and it was a nice place to view the stars at night. It was a quick and easy drive to downtown Blowing Rock.

The Perfect Mountain Get Away!
We had such a wonderful stay at High Hopes in Blowing Rock, NC!! Three couples booked a weekend to visit our kids at App State & had a fabulous time. Our college students enjoyed getting away from their dorm living & dining hall meals to recharge in super comfy beds & home cooked meals. They especially loved the hot tub! As parents we appreciated the well appointed kitchen and beautiful home decor. We will definitely be booking this house again for future ASU games!

Mountain trip
We enjoyed the stay but thought the photos made it look more light and airy. There was an overfilled garbage can adjacent to the garage with rotten garbage to the extent we could not park near it. The house was clean but very hot and humid when we arrived with only a floor space air conditioner that did not seem to get the house very cool. It gave the house a very stale or moldy smell that did bother our allergies. Sounds like a lot of criticism but those were not prohibitive for us enjoying our stay. I just described them so that the homeowner might want to alleviate some of those.
