High Low Hideaway is the retreat you are looking for with a prime location just off Hunter Rd on the northwest side of New Braunfels. Nestled in a quiet community on one acre it is just 2.5 miles from Gruene Hall, the Guadalupe River, and 15 minutes from downtown New Braunfels, or the outlet mall in San Marcos.

The home is a unique duplex style that offers plenty of privacy and is in a great location for a small wedding, or other event such as a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, graduation party, baby shower or family reunion.

Max guests of 35 when renting both sides.

The 1st floor offers a spacious open floor plan with a large kitchen that is equipped with all the major appliances and a huge dining area. There is a half bath and off the main living room is a private living area, full bathroom, and Master Suite.

The 2nd floor consists of 1 king bedroom w/ en suite bathroom, 1 double queen bedroom with en suite bathroom, one bunkroom with 2 full over full bunk beds. There are 2 twin size bunkie mattresses under the bunk beds that are most appropriate for children. There are 2 additional twin pop out beds available and a travel crib.

The front of the home has a covered deck with a gas grill and charcoal barbecue and overlooks the large grass area and fire pit.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO REQUIRE A 3 NIGHT MINIMUM DURING ALL HOLIDAYS.
NO SMOKING OR PETS are allowed on this property and YOU MUST BE 25 OR OLDER TO BOOK THIS PROPERTY.

Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Take trash can to end of driveway if you are checking out on a Sunday or Monday. (Trash pick up is on Tuesdays) Turn off portable a/c unit in upstairs bedroom and set all thermostats to 75.
Close and lock all windows and make sure the blinds and/or drapes are closed.
Make sure all outdoor grills are clean if you used them to avoid being charged the extra cleaning fee.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
• Zero tolerance for inside smoking or vaping. Failure to abide by this rule will result in a $500 fine.
• If smoking outside ALL cigarette butts must be disposed of properly. Failure to abide will result in a $100 fine.
• No pets allowed. Failure to abide by this rule will result in an fine of $500.

I felt that the pullout mattresses and beds were uncomfortable and should only be counted as beds for children. We had a group of 20 and had only one extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom and 2 dishwasher pods. We cooked a lot and a couple of mixing bowls would have been nice. We loved the big table for our game playing and the convenience to town and the beautiful, quiet neighborhood.

We do our best to set clear expectations in the listing, but I understand how these details can sometimes be missed. The starter supply includes eight rolls of toilet paper, which we’ve found to be sufficient for most short stays. As for the pull-out beds, the listing notes that they are most comfortable for children, though I understand they may not be ideal for everyone. We truly appreciate your feedback and will keep it in mind as we look for ways to improve.
