Webster Camp - rustic getaway with Webster Lake access, fire pit & large deck!
Come enjoy a relaxing retreat in this rustic family camp with shared private access to and views of Webster Lake in Franklin, NH. Webster Camp is a seasonal camp which was built in 1923, and still retains much of the historic charm, including open ceilings with exposed beams and a loft. Enjoy views of the lake and a nice breeze while having game night around the table on the enclosed porch. Take in sunsets over the lake from the large two-tier open deck, which provides plenty of seating and a propane grill. Bring your yard games! The spacious yard is the perfect place to play wiffle ball or kick ball! The yard is also furnished with a large fire pit and plenty of seating. Access to the lake is via a staircase easement down to a semi-private dock with stairs, which is perfect for a dip in the lake on the hot sunny afternoons or for launching paddleboards and kayaks (two paddleboards and one kayak are available for use). Webster Lake is a hidden gem which is located with easy access from I93 and only an hour and a half drive from Boston. The camp is a 7 minute drive to the "up and coming" downtown Franklin. Franklin is home to the first planned white water park in the area, at the junction of the Pemigewasset, Merrimack and Winnipesauke Rivers. Try your luck at the rapids with the local outdoor tour operator downtown or just relax and have beer at either of the breweries. For hikers, Mt. Kearsage provides beautiful hiking only 25 minutes away. Other hikes in the area include Mt. Cardigan, Little Sugar Loaf, and Shaw Pond Trail (small local trail). For the fishermen, Webster Lake is fully stocked and rivals the fishing of the larger lakes in the area. Webster Camp is equipped with 3 bedrooms and one bathroom (stand up shower and hot water). Webster camp is an original, rustic, uninsulated camp which caters best to the outdoorsy crowd. The two smaller bedrooms are "camp style" with open exposure to the loft, one has a queen bed and one a double bed. The bunk room has two bunk beds with double beds on bottom and twins on top. The bunk room is equipped with a window unit air conditioner. The camp has a full kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, toaster oven, dishwasher and washer/dryer for laundry. The living room is equipped with two recliner sofas and a large smart tv. High speed internet is also provided. My husband’s family has been vacationing at Webster Lake for over 40 years. We both moved to South Florida after college for work, but when we decided to start a family of our own, we knew we needed our daughter to have some roots at the lake with family. We decided to share our camp with other vacationers while we come back and forth from Florida.

This place is everything I am looking for! Quiet, quaint, spacious and absolutely perfect for a great vacation. The cottage look and feel helped us feel right at home and the location has so little traffic. From the fire pit to the sleeping accommodations, this place has it all. We cannot wait to come back for another visit!

My husband and I are originally from New England and moved to Fort Lauderdale for work. We now have a toddler and love to travel with her and enjoy the outdoors. We like hiking, camping, kayaking, paddleboarding and relaxing in the lake!
Why they chose this property
My husband's family has been vacationing at Webster Lake for decades. We wanted our baby to have some roots near family, and we love the chance to vacation closer to nature and further from the city! We love enjoying the outdoors and nature at our camp!
What makes this property unique
We have a large lot in the back of the camp which provides a great outdoor nature experience, privacy and wonderful star gazing by the fire pit.
