Small but perfectly formed village house

This is an impeccably renovated village house, and well equipped. Ideal for two, very private & overlooked only by goats and the occasional inquisitive eagle flying overhead. Good living space, bedroom, bathroom & additional loo in the laundry room. Petros & Marianna could hardly be more welcoming or generous with gifts of honey, fruit, eggs & fish & wine. The village has suffered from a population shift to the towns, and many houses are unoccupied, but some renovation is taking place. There are three tavernas within east walking distance but descent to the plateia is fairly steep. Choice of food is very limited but the welcome is warm. One tiny shop in the village. For general purposes a drive to Neapoli, Malia or Agios Nicolaos is necessary if you want to cook for yourselves. A lovely place to stay if you value privacy & peace, but access is not the easiest - quite steep paths both from where you leave the car, and down to the village. Cretan hospitality abounds.

Maison idéale pour déconnecter !

La maison est située dans le haut d’un petit village en montagne authentique Cretois. On accède facilement à pied à la place du village et on se perd avec plaisir dans les meandres des rues ! L’accueil et la disponibilité de Petros étaient vraiment fantastiques Et pouvoir se rafraîchir dans la piscine avec vue imprenable sur les montagnes, c’était top! Nous recommandons!

I chose Vrahasi village for its perfect climate nestled in the mountains. It holds a strategic location, allowing easy access to Potamos beach, just a 10-minute drive away, and the fascinating Malia Archaeological site located right next to the beach and other places. The village's serene tranquility provides the ideal setting for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. Additionally, I appreciate the convenience of having three tavernas within a 3-minute walk, where you can savor the delicious local Cretan cuisine. The area also offers fantastic opportunities for picturesque walks to nearby Latsida village, surrounded by the beauty of nature. In Vrahasi, you can achieve a sense of detachment from everyday life without being far from significant attractions, making it a truly rare find.

My property is truly unique for several reasons. Firstly, it is situated at the very top of the mountains, offering a secluded and serene setting surrounded by nature. The highlight is undoubtedly the magnificent terrace and its breathtaking views. Positioned at a high elevation, you can enjoy sweeping vistas of the majestic mountains and beyond. From the side of the terrace, an incredible sunset paints the horizon, where the mountains converge, creating a mesmerizing display. Additionally, there is a side view of the sea, with Dia Island adding to the picturesque scenery. This exceptional location sets my property apart, providing both comfort and tranquility indoors and outdoors. It is the perfect place to unwind, relax, and detach from the demands of everyday life.
