The cabin was very quiet down the hill on a quiet side road to take a walk. Inside the house had everything I needed . All the appliances I could have ever needed.
The setting of this home is so lovely as it sits above the river and is very private. The home is recently renovated and very well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay at the Cabin and hope you will visit again. :)
My family was especially impressed with the cookware and kitchen supplies. They overfed me with gourmet meals all week. The wide variety of critters seemed to enjoy the scenic privacy as much as we did.
I definitely would gladly stay here again. Definitely perfect for anyone wanting to destress and get away from life and technology. No service without the wifi so absolutely amazing.

Hi Amanda. Very glad you enjoyed your stay. I’m sorry the wifi was not working. I have not had a problem with it before and may have needed to just be rebooted. But I’m glad it did not affect your stay.
This is the place to book of you are looking for a quiet and relaxing stay. The view of the river provides a peaceful backdrop to enjoy a morning cup of coffee, and the host thought of every detail including fresh herbs growing in the pots outside! We enjoyed every moment and are looking forward to another stay for our reunion next year.

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay, the cabin and location and you are very welcome back next year if it suits you.
This was the perfect blend of rustic and modern. Loved that the only people we saw were kayakers. The kids loved the canoe to go explore the river. We had a great time. Would highly recommend!

Thank you. So glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope you come back and enjoy the cabin again.
We had an amazing weekend in this private cabin right on the river. My husband spent time fishing, while I read a good book watching him from the backyard. It was very peaceful and relaxing. We loved the decor and cozy feeling of the cabin and will definitely return.

We are glad you enjoyed your time at the cabin. It was a pleasure to host you. We look forward to hosting you again in the future.
Wonderful location, right next to the river, with beautiful views all day long! Driveway is fairly steep and parking area is small, so be careful when turning around. Bedrooms a nice size, beds super comfortable and area very quiet at night. Steps to second floor are sturdy, with a nice handrail for safety.Ground floor layout very nice, with large dining table for guests and comfortable living area. We did not use the very large screened in porch, which is ideal for use as a playroom, for games, or other activities. The front porch has comfy furniture and is ideal for sitting in the morning with your cup of coffee! Kitchen is large with a gas oven/stovetop and coffeemaker with K-cup adapter. The only thing missing was a microwave, which would have been nice. We did a lot of cooking and enjoyed working in this kitchen a lot! Plenty of cups, plates, silverware, etc. to choose from. We could not find any oven mitts, so had to improvise.Although it did get cool at night, we did not need any heat, as the cabin stays warm from sun exposure. Location is very convenient to Downsville and other nearby towns, whether via the covered bridge or local roads. Overall, we loved our stay here and I hope to return with either friends or family at some point!
