Spent 4 nights in a really great place with off street parking. Japantown is centrally located with a lot of things to see within walking distance. Hosts were attentive and answered any questions quickly.
The location was great the apartment was exactly as described and perfectly stocked for our needs. Owner was very communicative and helpful Definitely recommend!
The apartment was everything is promised to be, with great features and impeccable cleanliness. Our hosts were very quick to respond whenever there was a question. And the location of being right in Japantown was great; amazing architecture and restaurants so close! Highly recommended!
The property is absolutely beautiful, clean and nicely situated in Japan town. We traveled as a family of 7 adults for my daughter's wedding and this was perfect for us to come back and relax each evening. I would definitely visit again.
The home was fabulous! It was everything that we had hoped and more. The space was great..plenty of room and accommodations were clean and everything we needed.
The neighborhood was great and parking was very easy to find right outside of the home.
Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!
We felt right at home. Wonderful architectural elements in the house. Exceptional convenience having a parking space in gated lot just outside back door. Very comfortable and would stay again. Safe neighborhood. We walked the entire city. Host was helpful.
Great base for our 4 night stay in San Fran. Not in the busiest tourist area however everything is within easy taxi distance. It was also handy having the Japan town centre just round the corner with its various restaurants. The house was spacious, clean and had all the amenities you would expect. Hosts were very responsive. Would definitely Book again if we came back to SF.
Patrick was a very responsive host. Even though there were a few bumps along the way the host was very responsive to our needs. Loved the area. Do wish the property had a bit more comfort in area where the family gathers
We stayed with the maximum number of guests and everything was absolutely lovely! We had enough beds, linens, utensils, and space. The beds were super comfy, the couches were better than expected, and the location was fabulous. Situated in a quick spot to everywhere, very safe with great food surrounding, and on street parking always worked out easily. I will revisit whenever I return!
Everything about our stay here was delightful! The property is in a great location -- Japantown is very walkable and no more than a $15 Lyft from typical SF attractions -- and the neighborhood was very quiet at night.
We had everything we needed here -- room for 7 to sleep comfortably (including the sofa bed and futon), 2 beautiful bathrooms, W/D and dishwasher, a spacious kitchen for preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Patrick was super responsive to any questions we had. It really was a perfect setup for us and we would stay again in a heartbeat!
We loved our stay at this beautiful Victorian home in Japantown. Onsite, gated parking was a huge plus. The location is very convenient to everything we wanted to see and do in San Francisco. The kitchen is well-appointed with everything we needed to cook for our 3 food allergic children. Ample closet space for all of our wedding clothes. Comfortable beds. My son and I are asthmatic and allergic to pets, and we were so grateful to see an air purifier there. And when I accidentally left my laptop, our host, who was responsive to any need during our entire stay, immediately let me know and kindly took it to a shipper to send it to me. Five stars! We would definitely stay here again!
Great place to stay with family to visit friends and be tourists in San Francisco. Japantown is really fun and lots to see and do. Felt safe in the neighborhood. Easy to walk to Filmore restaurants or catch an Uber or even the bus to other spots.
The home was very charming with beautiful bathrooms, nice modern showers, victorian charm, comfy beds, plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. The sofa sleeper in the front living room was totally fine but a typical sofa sleeper with more street lights and sounds than the 2 bedrooms, might consider bringing a sleep mask and earplugs if you’re a sensitive sleeper. So nice to have a washer and dryer there especially with kids. There was a cute patio with seating out back, a nice place to have your morning coffee. Smart tv and Wi-Fi were great. Owner was very responsive to questions and easy to work with. We enjoyed our stay.
The unit was spacious and ideally located for the various attractions we visited in the area, and Patrick was very responsive to my queries. I would have rated this a five-star place were it not for some housekeeping issues. When we arrived, the dryer was completely stuffed with damp sheets, pillow cases and towels. We knew we planned to use the washer and dryer, so we eventually dried everything, folded it and stacked it. The next day we put something into the oven, then noticed a bad smell. We turned the oven off and then noticed how dirty it was, so we cleaned it as best we could before using it. We also noticed that the shelf paper in the cabinets was dirty in a few spots. Everything needs to be taken out, and the shelf paper needs to be replaced. A lot of items in the cabinets should probably not be there as they appear to be old and not things most people would need anyway. Overall, we were pleased with the unit, but the housekeeping needs improvement.
Overall, this was a great place to stay with a family. There was plenty of room for us and the kids. There were two bathrooms including an in suite (essential!), there was a washer/dryer that worked great (with detergent!), a desk for me to work (since I was there for a conference), plus the pantry and bathrooms were stocked with everything you could need- paper towels, salt, toilet paper, shampoo/conditioner, body wash. It was a relief not needing to run out for every little thing you might have forgotten to pack, and I found a few brands that I would definitely try again. I liked the intentional ways the owners encouraged an eco-friendly stay by doing little things like providing a pitcher for filtered water and a dryer ball. To show our appreciation, we left some (recyclable) K cup pods, instant coffee and powdered creamer for the next guests. Enjoy!!
As for the neighborhood, Japantown as a whole felt clean and safe. We went with some of the restaurants the owners recommended and were not disappointed- a standout for me was Marufuku, a casual restaurant within walking distance where the ramen was served up quickly and piping hot (recommend the tonkotsu and takoyaki). The neighborhood is very walkable; we found a good breakfast place around Fillmore called Sweet Maple. And there was parking! The one downer: we found hair on some of the blankets and sheets, I assume that that is an issue that needs to be brought up with the cleaner. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent séjour, très bon hébergement. Seule réserve : table, chaises, assiettes en nombre un peu juste pour les repas: parfait pour 3, mais insuffisant au-delà.
I have lived in San Francisco for almost 15 years and have lived in the Bay Area since I was in high school. I can tell you a lot about where to go and what to see!
