This fun cabin was the perfect spot for our extended family to enjoy time together! It was a great home base for exploring the surrounding rivers, lakes and trails. We hope to return!

this is our second time returning to Rachel's amazing cabin - we absolutely love this place. it has a spacious area for us to all hang out inside and outside. we had coffee on the front porch each morning, and dinner on the back porch under the lights. the decor is minimalist and so tasteful. the beds and bedding are super comfortable, too. we spent our days at haypress creek, a 3 minute walk down the road, and paddle boarding at gold lake, about 15 minutes away. it's a wonderful place to unwind, aided by the fact that there's no TV. it's helpful to note to grab major groceries in truckee (coming from the bay area) as the only other grocery store is in downieville, about 30 mins away. highly recommend.

Quiet little piece of heaven

It was a brisk fall weekend, perfect for a nice fire, cards and a good book. The colors all around were amazing and the cozy home was just as pictured.

A warm, informal vibe

Great place to hang around with people you care about. Not fancy, but cozy in a delightfully quirky way. Functional kitchen (no dishwasher ), close to wonderful hikes.

A great cabin to stay in the basin lake area!

The cabin is spacious and easily accommodated 5 adults and our two dogs. There’s no TV but we brought our own and managed streaming for our family movie night. The WiFi works well. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, utensils and glasses. Some minor issues with appliances & bbq, but we worked through it. There are many games to play at the house and she has lots of towels and linens available. One of the bedrooms (queen bed) upstairs has a skylight in there so you can’t sleep after sunrise unless you have a sleep mask or you're an early riser.. Location is great as it’s near the Yuba river. There are certain spots where you can jump in, although the water is cold/refreshing. Communication and the check in/check out process was easy. Overall, we had a great time visiting the area and found our stay comfortable.

We love this cabin! The location is amazing so close to the river. It was a perfect size for our group. And the back deck was a great spot to gather in the evenings. We will be back next year!

Our family had a wonderful stay! The cabin is clean, spacious, filled with natural light, and beautifully decorated. We loved the comfortable beds, the great selection of board games, and spending mornings bird-watching on the deck. The short walk to the river and swimming holes was a major highlight. To top it off, the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. A truly welcoming home!
