Anne is the perfect host, great responsive communication and the most tranquil and welcoming property.Most of our meals cooked on property, so a very well equip kitchen.We did not use the TV or any of the supplied electronics, however there are docking units to charge electronic devices, a turntable with vinyl and portable speaker.Cozy bedrooms with very comfortable beds.We used the kayaks, easy to get to the water and enjoyed the water, which was not deep in the cove so able to go out quite far.We would highly recommend this property if you need a stay in the area!

Beautiful and so well-equipped!

The owners really thought of everything here. It’s a beautiful cottage at the perfect location for our recent family stay, made even more perfect with the many amenities available. We’ll be planning to stay here again in the future!

Absolutely beautiful place

The property was absolutely amazing. Beautifully furnished with attention to detail with everything you need. Direct view to the lake. Nice fireplace behind the house. Close beach parks. We will come back if we are around.

Total Gem of a Property!

The Windswept Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way, and the owners were a delight—very responsive and helpful. The cottage is beautifully decorated and has every amenity you could want. Gorgeous location and we even had a partial view of North Pond, which was unexpected! The beds and furniture were all very cozy and comfortable, and the kitchen was top notch. Can’t wait to stay here again!

June fishing weekend

Fishing was excellent! Water activities were fun! Area was as expected. Aesthetically the home is cute! Structurally, it’s a different story. The steps to the upstairs are intimidating. But the homeowner does have signs warning of this at the house. Also, there is no AC in the bedrooms. It made for some very hot sleeping. Beds/bedding were comfortable. TV in LR had lots of streaming options. Kitchen is very equipped. As is the bathroom. Communication was excellent with homeowner. They did think of many details! Overall, a good weekend doing Outdoor activities we enjoy!

Careful on the stairs!

Small and cute but very rustic cabin with upstairs bedrooms that must be accessed by a steep ship’s ladder with only one flimsy handrail. Not for children, pets, or those with mobility challenges…

Cute cottage getaway

This cottage is super cute with lots of charm. The inside was like something you would find in Country Living magazine with modern amenities. Lots of comfy seating provided in the living room to unwhind, games, smart tv, and a lovely sun room to sit in and relax. High end appliances in an updated kitchen. Lots of blankets to snuggle in when watching tv. Nice yard with picnic table under an immense ancient oak and a fire pit. Cottage is tastefully decorated and located on a tiny lane off a dead end road which means there is almost no traffic. Host checked in with us to see how we were doing and replied quickly when we had a question.

Plumbing issues/ no water

When we arrived, we were amazed by the cute decor and the thoughtfulness that went behind each living space. We noticed right away that the first floor bathroom was having some issues so our first morning, we decided to not use the 1st floor toilet and we emailed the host. By day 3, the upstairs toilet was backing up into the first floor toilet. We sent another email to host, and we were hoping to have a plumber visit to fix the problem. A plumber was unable to come, so we had to leave a day earlier, since we couldn’t use the water. It was very disappointing since we chose this cute cottage as a reunion for our daughter, who is living in Syracuse for the summer. We rushed to pack and clean the cottage when we found out the plumber was unable to come. I actually cried on the way home, since it was such a hurried end to our trip and we had just bought firewood for the bonfire earlier that morning. This cottage is so cute. I loved the decor. It was relaxing, clean and quaint. The refrigerator was amazing! The stairs are tricky but we read other reviews and knew that would be something to consider and we were fine with that. I would give this a 5 star but because of the water issues, I have to rate it a 3 since our vacation was ruined with a sudden departure. I actually cried on our way home because I wanted to spend more time with our daughter, who joined us on day 2 of our stay.
