Just 15 minutes from Athens but a world away from stress and noise. This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is tucked at the end of a country road and is freshly renovated stem to stern. Large open great room with a wall of windows draws in nature. Two spacious bedrooms and 2 spacious baths make it comfortable for everyone who stays. Gorgeous hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, natural slate tile baths, and every amenity places this home at the intersection of luxurious and woodsy. Huge deck for relaxing or taking a dip in the hot tub. Quiet country setting gets you away from city life, but you're just a short drive from Ohio University, restaurants, movies, shopping, art centers/museum, Strouds Run State Park, and plenty of outdoor recreation. Headed to the Bailey's Trail System or Hocking Hills? You're looking at a quick 25/45 minute drive respectively. This one is for the quiet life....no parties and a maximum 4 guests. Everything you need is supplied, including bedding, toiletries, and supplies, and it has a fully outfitted kitchen too.

Great cabin in the woods

This was our second stay at Hawk Ridge. It's a great two bedroom, two bath, fully equipped kitchen place to stay that is quiet and secluded.

What a beautiful and serene getaway! We truly enjoyed our stay. This guest house was very comfortable and the view from the large glass windows in the living room/kitchen space was gorgeous. We made good use of the luxurious hot tub in the evenings and experienced a really relaxing weekend. We liked the house so much that we hung out in it for most of our visit to the Athens area!

Hawk Ridge Retreat was the perfect weekend getaway. The home is a beautiful mix of rustic craftsmanship and modern amenities — like a knotty pine ceiling; hardwood floors & trim; spacious, cozy bedrooms; huge stone tile bathroom with a steaming hot shower; a kitchen you want to cook in (newer stove/fridge, plenty of counter space); and plenty of fluffy towels for the hot tub. We watched leaves float across the sky from the hot tub, walked around Athens, binge watched a show on Netflix, and slept like logs. It was a perfect place to relax on a rainy-snowy weekend in November.

Amazing place near Athens!

We absolutely loved our stay! We came in for our daughter's college orientation. The place was close to Athens - very easy drive to campus. The home was clean, decorated very nicely, comfortable, and well stocked with towels, coffee, etc. We will definitely stay here again!

Lovely place!

This is my new favorite place to stay when visiting family in Guysville! For this trip it was me and my 90 year-old dad - the interior layout was perfect for him. The home is very comfortable, clean and well-appointed, not to mention the beauty of being surrounded by trees. I will certainly stay at Hawk Ridge again.
