Located in the heart of the Western Maine Mountains Bigelow Range, this house is ideal for the outdoor enthusiast. With its open floor plan, this newly renovated house is perfect for entertaining or just relaxing after a long day outside. Situated in a quiet private neighborhood, yet close to area restaurants & ammenities. Short distance to hiking trails including the AT and Maine Huts and Trails system, 1.5 miles to Flagstaff Lake for swimming, kayaking, boating & paddle-boarding (kayaks available for use), just 7 miles to the best mountain biking network in the state & Sugarloaf Ski Resort with its top-notch golf course overlooking the Bigelows, and only 500 feet from the ITS 89 Snowmobile and ATV trails. It’s a great area for fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing, and exploring waterfalls! We are also only 20 miles to Rangeley & Saddleback for more places to explore! We provide an activity guide but feel free to ask any questions about the area. The kitchen has updated stainless steel appliances with all the other amenities you will need. There is a beautiful glass tile breakfast bar which seats six plus an additional dining area. The living room is equipped with a 65 inch HDTV (Amazon Fire-stick with Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube TV), eight speaker surround-sound, and high-speed wi-fi. There are two couches, one with a chaise and ottoman plus a second sofa for plenty of seating. Upstairs the master bedroom has a queen bed and a 42 inch HDTV with DVD, fan, & AC. The guest bedroom has two full size beds with a 42 inch TV, fan, & AC, and the additional loft area has a full size bed, bureau, and room for belongings. There is a three season porch with seating, and a new heated breezeway for storing your gear. Outside there a beautiful yard in a wooded lot, a Weber grill, outdoor dining area, and a fire pit (with wood available for purchase) for relaxing in the evening. Come enjoy our beautiful area!

A Wonderful Getaway!

Cabin close to Sugarloaf

Wonderful cabin for our Sugarloaf golf weekend. The cabin is large with comfortable beds and a great kitchen. The cabin has everything you need plus a large TV and awesome surround sound. You'll get that "cabin in the woods" vibe but yet it's in a neighborhood with lovely landscaping. The owners are great, very accommodating, and helpful. It's a 15-minute drive to the golf course.

We just returned from our stay over New Years weekend at this property. I must say that the owner's description was spot on. The owner was very informative and easy to get a hold of if we needed anything. We found that the house was well stocked with anything we could possibly want or need. We've stayed at many rentals over the years and I have to say this was one of the cleanest properties yet. We had 4 adults and 4 children in our party and we found that there was plenty of beds and room for all of us to be very comfortable. The kids had a blast playing outside in the yard while we cooked in everynight. The kitchen had everything (appliances, pots & pans) that we needed in order to prepare and enjoy all our meals after a long day of skiing. I would have no problem recommending this property to family and friends in the future and will be sure to return ourselves. Thanks again for sharing your cozy home with us!

My friends and I rented out this place for Raggae Fest at sugarloaf and had a great time! Sort 11 min from the mountain was perfect. Mike was super helpful and answered every question I had! The house was fully stocked and super cozy! We had a great time using his place! Thanks mike !

Great place to call home!

We enjoyed our stay at Gramp's Way. The house was cozy and comfortable, clean, and even better than described. I was impressed at the well-stocked kitchen, which allowed us to make all of our meals after a day of skiing at Sugarloaf. It was nice to relax and watch the olympics on the giant screen tv with surround sound. Everyone slept comfortably in their beds. We would definitely recommend this to a friend. Communication with Mike was timely and clear, and he was very nice to deal with.

Cozy and nice

We were 4 adults and really enjoyed our stay. Nicely decorated, very well maintained, impeccably clean, comfortable and cozy, stocked with everything, nice big TV, wood burning stove. Conveniently located close to restaurants and 7 miles to Sugarloaf. The owner made the rental process stress free and was easy to get a hold of. We definitely plan on returning.

This is the 'real' Maine

The layout and sleeping arrangements are perfect for our mixed-age family and was the perfect ski house for us. Loved that fact that the owner leaves basic kitchen and bath supplies so I did not need to remember to bring everything.

cozy cabin

Place was nice, clean and close to Sugarloaf. House has everything you will need for a comfortable stay for up to 8 people . My fiancé and i had some friends with us and we had a blast. Satellite tv and grille came in handy when the Loaf was closed due to wind. Owner is very friendly and made renting property stress free. will be back next year.
