The pool was fantastic! There is a coffee shop right on the corner! And a historic church right across the street!Ornice and Ràul were the best. They communicated clearly and effectively and genuinely seemed concerned that our stay was nothing short of excellent.

Peaceful and re-energising house!
Casa La Merced is the perfect house for small or large groups and family gatherings. This Granada House rental consists in 11 bedrooms in total , we only stayed in 5 rooms each with access to the pool, we relax on a hammock by the pool and they arrange a BBQ in the kitchen, was delicious!!
I come regularly to Granada. The space and tranquility I find in this house is truely re-energising. The house is very peaceful and inspiring for finding time and space outside the busier demeanor of Granada. Thanks again for a beautiful experience.

Beautiful hotel in Granada
Wonderful property centrally located in Granada. Just be aware that it is more of a hotel than a house. Gates are locked at night and you cannot come and go as you please. Food was amazing, especially breakfast, albeit a little pricey.

Fabulous!
My extended family group of 13 and I stayed here for a week in August, 2014 and we could not have been more satisfied with Casa La Merced and the wonderful staff, Enrique and Teresa. The house (a historic, Spanish-style mansion) is large, elegant, clean and comfortable. We were traveling with 3 small children, who spent every morning playing in the swimming pool. Each room was nicely decorated and had its own sparking clean bathroom. In the heat of Granada, we were especially grateful for the air conditioning units! Breakfasts were huge and delicious; so much so that we asked Teresa to prepare several dinners for our group and the food she cooked was the best we had anywhere in Nicaragua. When we needed to launder our clothes, we were invited to use the washing machine and dryer on the premises. In short, our every need was met with grace and understanding. And, we discovered that the rate we paid was very competitive. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Wonderful House!
I recently traveled to Nicaragua with my friends. We are a group of 10. We had a wonderful time in Casa La Merced. It is absolutely gorgeous. Our favorite spot was the pool in the evening. The garden are so beautiful. The service was great!! Granada is such a quaint, wonderful city, and the restaurants are fantastic. We loved Cathy's Waffle House and The Garden Cafe. We hope to return to Casa La Merced next year.

Great place to stay for a large group
Gigantic home with 6 (or more) large, colonial-style air-conditioned rooms, each with it's own bathroom with hot water. Beds were comfortable, although the decor is a bit rustic and the TV's could use updating. The staff (guard and cook) were very nice and helpful. They helped in arranging transportation and making suggestions. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious--the best I've had at any hotel or house I've been at in Granada. There is a large dining/eating area, multiple large sitting areas, and even a garage. There's plenty of room for a large group of people to eat, meet, or whatever else. The home is right across the street from Merced church, and one of the nice things about it is that it's only a short 2-block walk to central park. Most of the rooms are adjacent to the outside, so there is some noise from the streets and church bells. The A/C in one room broke, but they fixed it right away. A pool would be a nice addition....the owner mentioned they will be installing a pool soon. If they had a nice pool and updated the decor and TV's, I think this could easily be a 5-star home. They didn't take credit cards when we booked, so we had to transfer cash to reserve the home, and take cash down to pay the balance. The price is very reasonable if you have a large group. It is almost like having a whole hotel to yourself.
