In addition to the house rules, here are some additional things to consider:

*There are stairs to the bedrooms and to the decks.

* Wood burning fire place - Bring your own INDOOR seasoned hardwood (must be wood from Maine) for any indoor fires. Also ensure there is no fire going when you are not present.

* The cabin is located in the woods and the power does go out on occasion. We have a whole house generator that will kick on should the power go out.

Additionally, you may see & hear bugs, furry critters of all sizes, & reptiles. Our property has regularly scheduled pest control, however, we can’t guarantee that any such critters will not be visible in & around the property. Please try to keep doors and windows closed, do not leave food outside to prevent entry of unwanted critters. Also do not feed any wildlife as they are wild animals. No refunds will be provided if a local critter visits the property.

* We are in the woods and the Internet may be slow at times. No gaming is possible due to internet and we recommend that you download any large content before you leave home.

* Please note that cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier. You can always connect to the internet for wifi calling.

* Please take off your shoes in the house to prevent damage to the floors.

* Children are welcome, however, the cabin may not be suitable for young children because of the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, outdoor decks, & stairs. Parents should use their own discretion when booking.

* No pets allowed on furniture and guests must pick up pet waste or a $65 clean up fee will be imposed

* Winter procedures: Please turn heat to 65 F when checking out using thermostat at base of stairs.
