Property was beautiful and secluded ! Outside appearance is exactly as advertised ! Loved the castle themed interior, can tell attention was given to detail. Hot tub is perfectly placed for optimum view of property. Dry wood was right next to the fire pit. Kitchen had every utensil to prepare and serve meals with. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and well supplied. Game room is exceptional. Host was easily contacted for support if needed. Beautiful property !! Wished we could have stayed longer !

Incredibly unique property and amazing host!

We had a wonderful experience at the castle. There were 4 adults and plenty of room for a couple more. Lori was absolutely fantastic as the host. She reached out in advance to help us with questions and also to arrange a private chef to come in and cook for a birthday celebration. The chef, Dena, was great, everything was delicious and her server, Joanna, was amazing, extremely personable and made sure we were comfortable all evening. The castle is truly unique but very cozy. We spent most of the time in front of the main fireplace but almost every room had its own. We had zero issues but I'm confident that if we did, Lori would have addressed them immediately. The shuffleboard table in the game room is also a great plus, as is the hottub. Everything was very clean when we checked in, plenty of towels & pillows.

Best Castle Ever!!!

Second time staying here and wow! This place is amazing and has a bunch of upgrades since our last visit, best of all was internet! We had no idea they installed fiber optic high speed Internet and a landline. I already booked another full week knowing I’ll be able to work remotely while the fam does their winter wonderland daytime activities. I can’t describe how cool it feels to sit on a literal throne in a castle turret and get your work done. So much fun! Also, BRING YOUR ICE SKATES! Our family absolutely loved the huge ice rink it now has out back! We had some highly competitive hockey games followed by soaking up in the hottub! Truly a blast with friends and family. The inside of the castle is so warm and cozy with double fireplaces and heated floors. Bring your flannel PJ’s and plenty of hot chocolate to complete the look. Best castle ever!

Unique and peaceful property - great family trip!

We really enjoyed staying at the castle. It was unique and very spacious...even with 5 adults, a toddler and an infant! Our toddler especially loved the idea of staying in a castle like Elsa (Frozen). The detail throughout was fantastic and we could tell the property was really taken care of. We also LOVED having the option to hire Chef Navad to handle a few meals for us, he was so friendly and the food was delicious. The grounds were beautiful and great setting to sneak some family pictures as well! We hope to come again for a future trip.

Memorable visit

This is a really special place to visit. Our two families had plenty of space to gather or be alone. The grounds are lovely, the hot tub a treat, and the castle details made us smile. We brought loads of costumes to make it really fun: a royal dinner, an elven scavenger hunt. The power went out during a storm and the support we got from the rental team was top notch. Such great memories!

A real nice VT getaway!

This place was just simply fantastic! I was king of my own castle. Most certainly a labor of love by the original couple who hand built this grand structure! Like everyone else says...hard to leave, but I will be back soon!

Fairytale castle with beautiful views

We had a lovely visit in this charming home. The castle proved to be everything we expected and the property was exquisite. Property's management was super helpful and even allowed us to extend our stay by one day. The beautiful sunsets were an unexpected bonus! Highly recommend this spacious, and one of a kind get-a-way!

A Magical Place made of fairly tales come true!

We want to thank you for our week stay at the castle. John got some astrophotography done and the sunsets were just breathe taking.. A little bit of Europe in Vermont!

This was my second time renting the castle. You feel like you’re in Europe while being close to home! Each morning we would enjoy coffee out by the fountain and at night we would sit in the hot tub - total paradise!!! We had a great game of bad mitten that had us all laughing. The castle had everything my family needed and more. My family could not get over the views around the castle and all the greenery. It was such an amazing time we were all so sad to leave!!! We will be back, that is for sure!!!!!!!!

Living like Royalty at the Irasburg Castle!!

Our family of 7 adults and a one year old child stayed at the Irasburg Castle for 5 nights. The castle is both amazing and awesome! It is like traveling back to medieval times while still enjoying all the benefits of modern times: superfast internet service, large hot tub, a fun game room, impressive gourmet kitchen, a stainless steel grill, a TV in almost every room(with access to every streaming service we could think of), badminton net and equipment, etc. As a unique treat for our family there was a "special dinner" that the hosts helped us coordinate with Dena. The "special dinner" was overwhelming, far exceeding our expectations.....both delicious and huge quantities! Plenty of nearby activities - we visited Ben & Jerry's and the Von Trapp Family Lodge in nearby Stowe, VT (1 hr away), we visited the Eden Ethical Dog Sledding for a truly once in a lifetime experience as we interacted with 20+ VERY friendly dogs who then took some of us on dog sled rides through the grass in Eden, VT. and we visited Crystal Lake twice for some time on the nice beach and some fun with kayaks! We definitely recommend this Irasburg Castle to everyone! It was a magical, once in a lifetime vacation that our family will be talking about for years. Make sure you take ALOT of photos there is so much to see in the castle, everytime I entered into a room, I saw something that I had not noticed before....for five short days, we truly felt like we were royalty!

An absolutely magical and unique castle experience.

Castle Gregoire is truly unlike any other style I've ever had in my life, whether abroad or in the United States. Driving up to the castle itself is an experience, truly out of a fairytale. The interior is immaculate, and while you would think a castle would have medieval appliances, Castle Gregoire outdoes itself in its modernity, yet still staying true to the 'castle' atmosphere. All of the appliances are first class, from the kitchen range to the Bose speakers. Everything is at your disposal, from the game room to the hot tub - there is no comfort that is left out at this rental, it has all been meticulously thought out and expertly fine-tuned. The grounds - the drawbridges, the hiking path, the pond and the fountation, all of it transported you to a quiet, serene, and kingly state of being. I miss Castle Gregoire already, and it was truly difficult to leave it! I have nothing bad to say about it whatsoever. Book this castle!!

Such a Unique Weekend Getaway!

We loved exploring the Northeast Kingdom staying in our very own castle! The house is huge and has an amazing outdoor space - perfect for a family gathering, elopement, or a romantic weekend away. We loved having wine and cheese on the patio and using the hot tub while watching the sunset! The game room is fun for famillies and there is ample space for everyone to spread out. The kitchen is well appointed, there is strong Internet, and the furnishings are quite comfortable. We can't wait to head back!

Amazing and in Vermont!

My daughter and I stayed at the Castle as a quick getaway for just the girls and it was absolutely perfect! Everything about this trip was just what we needed! Arrival and check in was seamless, the amenities top notch and the property WOW!!! The castle was like stepping back in time or entering a property in Europe. Tucked away in the hills of Vermont with the most amazing sunsets and backdrop what more could you really ask for. The castle is in a wonderful location for a ski weekend, a summer getaway to enjoy hiking, the lake or just relaxing. We can not wait to come back and bring more friends to enjoy and relax at the castle.

Majestic Escape

My husband and I had the very good fortune of joining our friends to spend some time at Gregoire castle. Despite seeing a few preliminary photos, nothing could have prepared us for the amazing sight of driving up to the front of the castle. It honestly felt like stepping back in time and the child in me couldn't help feeling like suiting up in armor and finding a dragon to slay. The interior was just as impressive to behold, with all manner of little decorative details from shields, swords and helms, to period style furniture and accent pieces. The living space was nice and big with comfortable sofas and chairs, a tv close by and yes, even a round dining table for all your Arthurian dreams to come true. The kitchen was beautifully decorated and well stocked with all your basic necessities, including a dish washer (Thank you castle genie!), that is also where we found a gift basket full of treats awaited us. The upstairs was beautiful and had a little interior and exterior balcony, it is also where the master suite was located. The basement had it's own cozy vibe, a game room and laundry facility (very useful ), as well as additional bedrooms and bathrooms. As silly as it is to say, the plumbing was fantastic, it took seconds for any temperature to switch from one extreme to the other, most places we have stayed at can often take several minutes especially, when it comes to waiting for hot water. This was not the case here, a nice little bonus. The backyard was beautiful, with a lovely pond and fountains, fire pit , hot tub and barbecue. It was a great place to sit, relax, go for a run or simply enjoy the fire pit making smores. If you find you want to start up the barbecue or need some basic pantry items, there's a great little market( Ray's Market) not too far from the castle that sells it's own meat and baked goods, it became our go to place and is filled with very helpful and lovely people. Irasburg itself is in a great location, 20 mins to Newport, Vt ( Pick and Shovel has everything!), 30-40 mins to St Johnsbury, VT which has dog mountain, galleries and some of the best ice cream next to Ben and Jerry's. An hour will get you to Montpelier which is the state capital and full of interesting places to kill time. There is no shortage of things to do in the area or at the castle itself. All in all it was a wonderful place to visit, we had a fantastic time and we hope to some day come back for more possible adventures. Cheers!

Love the castle!!

We had such a great time at this castle! As a fan of the Bavarian style, but also up to date amenities, this place was perfect for us! The backyard was absolutely breathtaking, but also a ton of fun. We enjoyed the really nice hot tub and had plenty of bonfires. Everything in the castle (kitchen, technology, plumbing and all other amenities) worked to perfection and our stay went great without any issues. The owners were very responsive about any basic questions we had about certain things and made us feel right at home. All of the bedrooms were so well kept and the interior was set up beautifully upon our arrival. We are hoping to stay here again! Highly recommend it!

A Fairy Tale Vacation

What an amazing place! The home is set up so its six bedrooms can be shut off from each other, or left open for guests to explore the castle's games room, TV and lounge areas, and upstairs/downstairs patios. The castle has both intimate nooks and grand spaces, a fire pit and hot tub, and the grounds contain varied natural habitats. My wife and I don’t drink but the castle even has a sizable wine collection in a temperature-controlled area adjacent to the kitchen, which had all the pots and pans our guests and we needed to make focaccia bread and several lovely sit-down meals. We went over the possibilities for a couple staging a wedding around the castle’s pond, surrounded by evergreens and blooming trees as we listened to the chirping frogs that emerged nightly at dusk. A magical place, created and curated with love. Definitely treat yourself to this experience.

A magical stay!

Wow. What a stunning property! There is nothing like stepping away from the hustle and bustle of the city and into nature! The castle was so serene. If you’re looking to get away and relax, this is the place! We will definitely be back!
