Hosts were very responsive. The decor was amazing. Check in and out was easy. The only issue we had was with the water for the shower and getting to hot and cold.

Very clean and updated room that fit our family of five comfortably. The host provided great communication throughout our stay, which made everything easy and stress-free. The shower pressure was a bit low, and the property itself looked a little sketchy at first glance, but don't let that deter you. Once inside, the room was well-maintained, comfortable, and exactly what we needed. Overall, a great stay and a good value. Thank you Joe & Cindy!

Pool view, recent renovations, nice studio equiped kitchette. Large screen tv in sleeping area with bedside charging options. Remote fan, remote tv and a/c. Common area views. Back parking lot allows parking directly in front of the building. Unit had a breeze at night and balcony provides a teak bistro set and nice hammock. What it lacks in dressers or closets it gains in its cooler elevation and central location in town allowing easy access to all sides of Hilo town. Unit is in an older complex but new renovations, pool, and lots of back lot parking make it a winner.

Nice updated space

The host, Joe, is very responsive to any questions or problems. There was a problem with the Wi-Fi while we were there that he immediately was able to get someone over to fix. The amenities in the kitchen and bathroom are well supplied.

This property is in a great location. Don't let the condition of the complex bother you. The unit is nice, the beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning is a plus. The informational booklet was very interesting and we actually followed and appreciated some of the suggestions. We would definitely recommend this unit to friends.

The apartment is really nice, clean and functional. Kitchen was enough equiped. Pool was ok. A small inconvenience is to park, as the back parking lot that is closer to the apartment require permit, and the only spot available are far away on the front parking lot.. The main problem is regarding the neighborhood and the feeling of safety. Lot of homeless in the area. The parking is full of trash and wild cats everywhere.

Quick Stay En Route to HVNP

Our family added a couple nights in Hilo to our Hawaii vacation so that we could spend a day in Hawaii Volcanoes Natl Park. This condo was a comfortable and conveniently located home base for us. Our host was very responsive to any questions we had. Check in and check out was “contactless” which was super convenient. P.S. Highly recommend Ken’s Pancake House for breakfast. And Pineapples or Cafe Pesto for dinners.

Very nice pool and view of the pool from the balcony. Especially enjoyed the hammock.Beds were comfortable. Unit was clean and well appointed, although keeping ice was a bit of a challenge due to the quite small freezer.Had a bit of trouble regulating the shower temp. At times it was only hot hot hot!! Not the best shower head as well, unable to adjust.Beach towels were not provided, something we have not experienced at other locations.Hosts were readily available to answer questions and assist with needs.

This property was close to everything. We were 10-15 minutes from most beaches and dining (often less). Plenty of restaurants in the area. The beds got mixed reviews from our group of four-two loved them, two were less in love, but I think you will have personal preferences anywhere you go! The little kitchen was just big enough to suit our needs. Sitting on the balcony in the mornings and listening to the birds was a favorite for all of us. The two drawbacks would be that there were no beach towels, so pack your own or plan on buying them when you get here as we did and the laundry is a pay-per-load with an app to download and load funds to. If you only need one load, you can’t pay for just one load. But, if you know what to expect the unit should be just fine. It made exploring the Hilo Side of the island much easier! Terrible stay at Tropical Garden Condo in Hilo

The shower didn’t work properly, water drained from the tap most of the time. Bathtub was moldy & nasty. The bathroom, shutters, lamp fixtures were very dusty like the place had not been cleaned in a while. The kitchen is tiny & no dining table or chairs to eat at. There is no AC like advertised, just some kind of air cooler which was very noisy. The pillows are hard as rock. The condo & building is in very poor shape. Very pricy for what we got. Do not recommend at all.

Aloha. We are sorry the shower valve was not diverting the water correctly. After you reported it, we serviced it and have not had any more complaints or issues. The kitchen is small. It's a kitchenette and we advertise it as such. There is a real A/C. It is not an air cooler. It is a portable unit which does run a fan you can hear. We offer 2 different kinds of pillows both firm and soft. We would have been happy to help Naina with any of these issues.
