About this property
Adirondack Lake House- fish, swim, bike, hike, paddle.....Relax
Located on the north end of Cranberry Lake approximately 1/2 mile across the lake (a 15 min. paddle) from the Village of Cranberry Lake.
The house is an approximately 700sqft multilevel with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The two main bedrooms are on the upper floor (loft) with windows overlooking the lake. One bedroom has a king size bed, one bedroom has a queen size bed. The third bedroom (the kids room) is on the main floor off the kitchen and has bunk beds and a twin bed. We ask guests to bring sheets, pillow cases and towels. There is a washer and dryer. We provide blankets and comforters.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and coffee maker. There are also serving dishes, plates, cups, utensils, pots, pans, and electric griddle. The deck is huge. It totals approximately 400sqft with half covered and enclosed in screen and the other half open with a great view of the lake. There is a dock to tie up a boat and as a platform for swimming and fishing (the kids have caught some surprisingly big bass right off the dock, but mostly sunfish). Guests also have the use of a canoe, 2 person kayak, and a paddle boat.
If you are looking for a place to get away from the daily grind and enjoy the outdoors and connect with family, this is the place. There is no TV cable. There is one TV in the living room with a DVD player and small library of family friendly movies. This TV also has a Google Chrome Cast attached and you can cast content from a phone. There is high speed Internet and WIFI. There is a second TV/VCR in the kids bedroom.
The Cranberry Lake region is one of the largest remote areas in the state. Just south of the lake are thousands of acres of hills, lakes, ponds, and virgin forests. There are countless hiking trails in the area, numerous State Parks, and you are only 40 minutes away from the high peaks region where you'll find some of the most scenic trails anywhere in the country.

Why they chose this property
Cranberry Lake in the Adirondacks is a scenic, still lake surrounded by mountainous terrain and plentiful opportunities for outdoor adventure. It is the third largest lake in the Adirondacks, behind Lake George and Raquette Lake. The lake is vast, nearly 7,000 acres, and so has a wide range of depth. While the average depth of Cranberry Lake is only six feet deep, large areas are past the 20 and 30 feet marks.
If you’re looking for a great place for activities in the water, Cranberry Lake is a true haven for watersports. Visitors enjoy boating, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, paddling and more. Fishing is also very popular in the Cranberry Lake region. The lake itself is stocked with trout to encourage the sport, and nearby rivers also offer excellent trout fishing.
Various trails in the Cranberry Lake region make the area an ideal spot for hiking and exploring, from beginner to intermediate hikers. Enjoy trails in the Cranberry Lake Wild Forest, Western Parcel, Northwestern Parcel, Eastern Parcel and Five Ponds Wilderness Area.
Just east of Cranberry Lake village, there is a public campground and day-use area maintained by the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). Here you'll find a picnic area, fishing pier, beach for swimming and bathhouses. There are also graded areas for tents or trailers, water outlets, toilets, a trailer pump-out station and showers. Handicapped accessible campsites are also available. There is a public boat launch on the Oswegatchie River located on Columbian Road.
